The person who said to use the cold on the hands was spot on, your palms, bottom of your feet and cheeks/forehead are the fastest way to dissipate heat. Watch Dr.James Dinicolantonio’s channel with Joey Thurman. Huberman Lab does a great Podcast on the why of this! And maybe Lionel can listen to the Podcast and learn more about cold therapy to help his body.

When you're digging deep on race day, just remember the pain out on course doesn't even come close to the pain you just experienced for 30s. You've had worse and can endure more on race day.
