When I visited Ivan for my fit he was on the phone with Canyon setting this up lol. He gives the same level of attention and detail to a scrub like me as he does to a world class athlete like Lionel. What a great guy.

Lionel, I’m sure the velodrome is great for testing, however it has so many irregular variables compared to a wind tunnel that this could create some outliers in term of data. Please, PLEASE go in a wind tunnel.

as he is now with Canyon, he will go to the wind tunnel - pretty sure about that

Ollie griffithS not a lot of reason to go until you’re testing product and have about 3 fits you’re testing out. Work smarter not harder. Wind tunnel time is expensive. Check out the end of the video when he talks about seeing now if Lionel can hold those positions.
@fiddleronthebike5 жыл бұрын
@@Coxhouse247 wind tunnel time is expensive, yes; but it give data which you cannot get at the velodrome. Even if you spend a month at a velodrome - you will get absolute no information about how your position works in cross wind - and on the road you have crosswind almost every time. So you have to do both if you want to know what's the best position! Of course that aerolab sensors does a job - as the Swissside AeroPod... but as I said, I'm pretty sure he will be in a wind tunnel one day...

Are you talking about when they went outside? Seems to me they didn't want to use a disc, and just threw a wheel on. Didn't matter which one.
@Coxhouse2475 жыл бұрын
Marc Hollander they were not testing wheels. Just positioning. So wheels don’t matter. There was a power tap on the back because that’s the most accurate power meter. That does not very.
@EnergyLabCo5 жыл бұрын
If you look at the velodrome testing the same wheel setup was used. If we went and changed equipment we would get different test data from Velo to road.

Norman Mitchell it is to open his hip angle up as much as possible but not sacrifice his low aero position. If he sat further back he would effectively have to have his pads set higher to offset the hip angle change...... which would be less aero.
