Lionheart are a British 4 man AOR/Pomp/Hard Pop Rock band who were hailed as the first supergroup of the new wave of British heavy metal before changing into what I just described. They began differently and I'm glad that line up and all the other ones before this definitive line up with Chad Brown on vocals didn't record anything. This came from one of the most important and brilliant albums ever recorded. I got this at a dark time in my life (aren't they all?) and it really helped me survive. Through the years Lionheart have been a life saving group and thank God for them! There is a fake band called Lionheart out there some new thrash band or something well they aren't really Lionheart. THIS IS THE REAL LIONHEART!

Oh this is gorgeous! I love how "Die For Love" and all of Lionheart's songs are a melting pot of pomp/pop/AOR/and the unique for rock (especially British rock) soul influenced vocals of Chad Brown. His voice soars into the Heavens. If I were to compare Chad Brown's vocals I'd say Lou Gramm meets an overt leaning towards probably an unintentional similarity to Levi Stubbs from way back in the 60s with The Four Tops. If you think that's incongruous it's not. The closest straight rock band to this is Bad Company who also were earthier than a lot of bands. Paul Rodgers didn't use ad libs in his vocals, but Chad Brown is the master of them. The songs all build and build with the guitars, keyboards, amazing rhythm section, and I think Lionheart were screwed out of what they deserved- one number one hit off this album after another. This is music sadly missing from today's cynical world.

Bought this as a single when it first came out and have loved it ever since. Absolutely brilliant track, but my oh my, what a let down the video is!!! It was interesting to see but I think I'll stick to listening to an amazing track in the future and try to wipe out the memory of the video. God Bless Rik Mayall, possibly the greatest comedy talent of his generation, but not even he can save this cringe fest!
