Absolutely one of the best lion documentaries I have ever seen and I have seen them all. Felt like you are present with the kills. A male lion dragging a buffalo roughly 25yards by it's neck the same weight as the lion if not more by it's teeth saying "now come and try to get it". The female lion having it's prey clenched in her jaws intense couldn't help feeling bad but also understanding that this is nature in it's raw and it does all happen for a reason. Watching this a lions life they may be the most feared predator but their lives are no picnic. Food "feast or famine", life or death protecting a pride, Injuries, droughts. A Very savage and raw life for all these wild animals caught on camera capturing moments of beauty with a sense of calm a lull an unspoken truce an agreement amongst both predator and prey to hot not right now. Shade is a commodity. Thank You for sharing.

Oh I agree! Best “cheeky”commentary with no overbearing music, only the precious sounds of the baby Cubs “growling” like a kitty cat along with ALL the natural sounds you’d want! Whoever filmed this did a FANTASTIC up close and personal. I found out that Lion Cubs born of the same litter/same Mother can have different fathers! Lionesses mate with the coalition brothers so her Cubs may be say, 2 from one male & 2 from the other coalition partner. I find it fascinating that lions instinctively know who belongs to who. You can’t just sneak a cub born of another litter outside the “family unit” from a different coalition without the male killing it. They know who belongs and who doesn’t even many years later if they happen to cross paths. It doesn’t mean if the lion is male, they won’t try and kill him. Competition in Lion society is fierce for their survival. I love that in the animal kingdom all mothers are fiercely protective of their young and it’s so sweet to see how aunts feed and help raise all the Cubs as they know instinctively they are the up and coming generation to carry their genes for survival as a species. 100%! This is one of the best documentaries produced. Thank you for this! ❤️🦁❤️

A piece of heaven to be defended at all costs, futhermore the fact that this piece of heaven keeps extraordinary beasts like lions is a great fortune as well as a pride for the whole planet ... For their magnificence as well as for their complex social structure, they are certainly the most interesting creatures to observe in nature .... (it would be a sad world without them) Africans are very lucky to share their space with these beautiful creatures (which by the way are also a great form of income thanks to tourism,so one more reason to respect them and conserve their space )

@@lennarthagen3638 No need to be sassy, there’s solid evidence of a lion population decrement equalling 75% since 1970 - 26 African countries have seen them go extinct and the Barbary lion of North Africa gone by the 1960s. Even if you don’t know the precise number, you should know there’s a rapid overall decline. It doesn’t require ‘expertise’.

Jajja yes it is only Gods Graceful Loving hands that could create such a miracle in a mostly parched land the Afrikaans have adapted and these amazing peoples are still willing to help the World to conserve the African Animals. I have been noticing how this peoples are bringing in domestic animals to graze on the wild animals only means of survival and they are here first. But the farmers actually kill and torture the wild animals just for being themselves this is only the beginning of a serious problem ! I THINK SOMEONE NEEDS TO TEACH THEM THESE WILD AFRICAN ANIMALS ONLY EXIST IN AFRICA ..AND THERE ARE ONLY A FEW LEFT IN THE WORLD. THE WILD NATURAL BORN WHITE LION NO LONGER IS ROAMING FREE AMONGST ITS FELLOWS HUMANS BLACK WHITE AFRICA AND USA HAVE TAKEN THEM OUT OF THIER NATURAL HOME ENVIRONMENT. And the more domestic goats and cattle ect that you have the more status you have...it seems the Afrikaans people are acting and believing in detrimental affects that are devastating the original wildlife that is unique unto these natural paths they have taken for centuries to survive..now they face elimination. ...?!!
