Absolutely WONDERFUL everything about it, made me subscribe to the channel also hoping there will be a part two. I would love to see how the kiddos turned out where they went what troubles they faced, also the star of the documentary and her sister and how things went going back to the pride and starting the cycle all over again. What a beautiful lioness!!!!!

truly stunning...such an incredible story, full of action and suspense, heartache, challenge, despair and success. i can say unequivocally that this is currently my absolute favorite documentary on lions. I will warn that there are a couple of scenes, which to me because they are totally natural, are completely acceptable- but for some younger viewers or those somewhat sensitive to footage displaying somewhat gnarly wounds, some slight cringing may be experienced- but i would far rather cringe at the circle of life going round, than at a gratuitous and useless rendition of a zombie apocalypse, but i digress...i just really loved this production and certainly hope that if accolades be given, that this piece be considered and awarded the highest of praise and prize. Fantastic work ladies and gentlemen- may peace be with you always and everywhere and thank you so much for your tireless efforts to bring this fascinating tale to the world...

It was such a beautiful bittersweet moment when all the cubs came to say goodbye to Manyari before escaping. Lions are incredible animals although their societal structure can be frustrating and gruesome.

At 14:15, how did the videographers know Manyari wasn't signaling to her cubs that she was leaving, and that they should quietly follow her ? They couldn't know for certain. It's an unusual step, so who really knows what her intentions were ? Clearly, her actions towards her cubs were affectionate, so she may have been quietly indicating that they should join her. She made no moves to dissuade them, so I prefer to think that she meant for them to escape their impending deaths. That's what mothers do, protect their young, especially when she'd already invested time & energy into their survival.

A truly magnificent story with such a magnificent lioness. So brave, so courageous, so intelligent, a firmed determination to save her bloodline, her children and her sister's children. I have this pensive sadness as the story closes. I want it to go on and on. She is such an extra-ordinary lioness. I love the song that played at the end. I think that music added to my feeling of being down hearted. I tried to look for that music but can't find it😞

There were different lions throughout the film that were portrayed as being all the same pride but clear physical characteristics show these were random clips of multiple different lions, not the same pride like the film says.
