The only other team in our division that is a SB contender it the Vikings and he wouldn't make such a big impact for them that he would to us. We dont need Myles Garrett. We need one linebacker thats fast and 2 Leonard Floyd type edge rushers. Guys thats a threat to get 7+ sacks a year. That way our d-line stays fresh. You can sign one in FA and draft the other. If everything else stays the same and we add that i guarantee we have a top 12 defense and be top 10 in total sacks. Thats also how that Brady led Bucs team won the super bowl. They had multiple guys with 5+ sacks none of them were superstars.

If Brad Holmes does that, then this defense will be as good as the offense. Im 100% a draft guy. The draft is the only way to get talent without hitting the cap. The way to win is getting as much talent packed into the roster as possible, and that means efficently. I believe Terrion Arnold is the only one from that draft class to be a top 100 NFL player, he did start to show growth as the regular session wrapped up, he has all the tangibles and Sheppard could turn up Terrion this year. Far as Jack Campbell, I think he’s much better than the numbers show, he’s not playing at his strengths going by college, again we could see a big jump this season, he also has tangles. 7th round picks are like hitting the lottery to get a top 100 player, I’d argue 5th and 6th as well. Broderick Martin was probably Brads biggest bust, if he’s back on the team I’m gonna lose in Brad we trust.

LIONS should not mortgage the future and enter the Myles Garrett sweepstakes. Brad Holmes will develop the team thru the draft, Garrett is not a guarantee for the LIONS to win the SB. Developing player will make them competitive for years. Where is the Browns when Garrett was there? He never made a difference. The Patriots won six (6) Super Bowl can you name their DE ? 49ers won 4 SB under B. Walsh can you name their DE ?

Myles Garrett with this current team and Hutch I solely believe would get us there. This isn't mortgaging the team for years. We can afford it at this moment.
