I believe Meg and Kevin have established a truly remarkable special bond and trust. Especially after Amy passed, I think more and more visit from Kevin must have meant to Meg... I remember Meg was the only one among all those lions/ lionesses to jump into the dam when Kevin called. That shows a lot of trust of Meg for Kev. As far as treatment for captive lions, Kevin’s sanctuary is the best to none in the whole world. Because Kevin has deep knowledge and understanding of the species as well as each individual, and above all he has the deepest love for all of them and that his philosophy and spirit have been all inherited to each members of the sanctuary, I believe. As his supporter, I sincerely want to contribute more to resolve all the problems our beloved lions are facing. Habitat loss, conflicts with villagers, poaching, trophy hunting, canned hunting, petting zoos, illegal bone trade and on ... the more studying the issues, the more clearly boiled down to one thing, education. If we could have about at least half of the world’s population fully understand the urgency of need to solve many of those problems before it’s too late, the situation surrounding lions (and all endangered wildlife for that matter) would change drastically... There’re many different paths to reach out and spread the awareness and understanding as well as compassion for lions and many other wildlife species, thus there must be something I can best contribute to make this world better, safer and happier place for all living beings, for just an example, shorten the distance between some particular Asian people in specific beliefs and the rest of the world, in order to end illegal lions bone trade and poaching once and for all... I believe we can all do our part to achieve what we believe as Kevin has taught us.

Some would rather see these cats left alone in the wild where they must hunt for every meal risking life and limb, dodge poachers, traps and callous hunters, avoid human encroachment to their peril, and lack access to any health care. Of course lions feel happiness. I love to see while on a walk, one lion hiding then jumping on another lion. They both seem to enjoy that. Just seeing how Meg reacts to her Kev is clear proof of a lion feeling emotions. Kev is her good buddy and greets him accordingly. Really nice video.

I love watching them run and play! And all the flops they do lol. Always makes me smile/laugh. Luckily where I live (small village), we were always allowed to go for walks and spend time outdoors as long as we stayed away from people. So I think that being able to continue walking my dogs a couple times a day has helped me through this situation.

What a blessing to see these happy lions! They are impossible to watch without smiling. I love thinking of the precious cats I have had over the years being as large as these lions...knocking you over with their affection; how delightful. I use to have a 120 lb. Kuvasz dog that could wrap her head around your neck and give long wonderful hugs, but these kitties are a little larger than 120 lbs! I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to be hugged by a lion.
