Old LIONS and Naughty HYENAS Make My Life Difficult | The Lion Whisperer

Seems like this maybe be popular with regular viewers. I have been asked about updates on certain Lions and these always feature in the requests. Here you can see a move with Bongani and Suja and also Sibindie the Lioness. There was some aggro as you would expect going past the Hyena enclosure and Bongani still likes to try and show who is the Boss. Let me know your thoughts in the comments. Kevin, you have the patience of Job, bless you. Seeing Suja and Bongani was great. I’ve missed them. It hurts me to see Bongani so slow, but he sure has the energy to give the hyenas a proper what for. When the boys were growling at one another was awesome. And then seeing Sibindie growling at you is just so beautiful to witness their raw emotion and power. Obviously I don’t want you to be harmed, so how much distance do you keep between you and her? You know lion behavior so I know you’d never do anything that would put yourself in jeopardy. Thank you for another wonderful video. You’re just the best. I had that same thought as you Kev, when Suja and Sibindie gazed at each other through the fence. That was a really lovely moment. 🦁❤️🦁 How the lions perked up at the sound of the hyenas my word, stepping right over the meat. Sure put a spring in their step! Thanks for showing us how these majestic elders are doing. I really loved seeing them walk the human paths and taking it all in their stride. Thanks Kev and Co, I loved this video. Great seeing Boganie and Suja again. Happy to know that they are well. Also love seeing Sibindie here 🥰 She's beautiful indeed. Met her in person when i visited KR sanctuary a few months ago. She was chilling out and enjoying herself under the bright morning sun. Also met with the rest of the gang: Thor with his pride, my beloved Meggie, Icarus, George and Yame, Bobcat, Gaby, Echo and Naiobie, Ginny and Vayetse, the hyenas and the leopards. It was a magical experience. A real definition of a dream come true. It feels so surreal to finally be able to stand right in front of them and see with my own eyes all these personalities that i've followed from afar for a while now and ones that i've become so familiar with and grown strong love for. "They are real and I am here with them!". That was what I couldn't stop thinking and telling myself during those moments. It was almost unbelieavable that i finally made it to see them myself. I'm just soo grateful. Kevin took a very good care of all of them, it's so heartwarming to see them live their good life there. This is one of the most ethical sanctuaries that one could find. Hats off to Kevin and all his team. Thanks so much, Sir! I hope all those Kevin's supporter who love Meg and all her family in KR sanctuary will one day be able to visit and meet them in person, and experience the overwhelming joy and bliss of being in the presence of these majestic beings. It's truly magical and surreally beautiful. I know i would do that again 😊

I know I'm one of those asking how Bongani, Suja and Sibindie are doing, so thank you so much! Im so happy to see they're doing well. The boys remind me of grandpaa with their grizzly manes but still look so handsome. Bongani is such a warrior...he may be slower but still going strong, wants a piece of the hyenas. And I love the interaction between Sibindie and Suja. I remember the failed attempt of Suja with Meg and Amy. Maybe in the future he'll have some luck with Sibindie❤😊

Speaking as a person with a chronic illness that is slowly devouring my independence, I really feel for Bongani and how his age and health issues are starting to limit his natural behaviors. I really love these two old gentlemen and how they often walk leaning against each other. That’s true companionship right there. I think it’s great that you are able to still give Bongani and Suja the special care [moving camps, going for walks] that the young lions enjoy. It’s great to see you trying to continue the enrichment when the older lions lose some of their abilities. I just hope when I lose my mobility that whoever is stuck with taking care of me is as kind and patient as you are Kevin and that I can adapt with the grace and poise of these two senior lions. I didn’t know Casassa had passed away and Sibindi was now on her own. How good that she will still move camps alone and isn’t too freaked out by the experience. It would be great if she could be paired with Suns in the future as they certainly seem to be good friends. All the best for 2025 for Kevin to you and everyone at the sanctuary and to your family. And also all the best to everyone in the pride - may all the paths you travel lead you to fabulous adventures! ❤❤🦁🐱❤❤

Sibindie and Suja's interaction was lovely to see.
