I don’t care how many times I’ve heard the same stories over the years, I love long-form conversations with Jerry. Great chat, Scott!

I totally agree , these long form conversations are so important especially with Guys like Jerry who broke big in the 90s

You talked about the power of Nutshell early in the interview. I never heard that song until this summer, in my car. I remember pulling into my driveway, and just sitting there, listening to this song, wondering where the hell it had been all my life. Overnight, instant Alice/Jerry/Layne/ Mad Season crazy woman. I’m 62, only knew the radio hits. I think I’m a better human being for knowing this catalog of music. Jerry is such a pro, he has been telling the same stories for years, but I love hearing it. Continued health and success.

Christmas came early this year lmao. Thank you Scott!!! 🙏🏼 Man this guy, Jerry Cantrell has been with me and helped me through so many hard times. Alice in Chains has helped me with my sobriety journey (8 years sober now) and currently I left my home in LA to help take care of my mom with ALS. This disease is just awful but so grateful for “I Want Blood” and all the years of AIC music to help me through. Love hearing Jerry talk about the early 90’s days. Such a legendary time in history. Nothing but mad love and respect to you both. 🖤🖤🖤

Awesome interview, can't wait to see Jerry in February, loving the guitars on the new album, bendy, dissonant, drone-y goodness. Jerry's the most humble riff lord out there, sincerest hope he stays with us for a long time, I'm secretly wishing for a dark, evil sounding country album from him later in his life.

This is definitely a treat for me. Jerry, Dimebag, and Jeff Hanneman are my inspirations and reason why i picked up and learn playing the guitar. Plus Jerry and Jeff Hanneman also sold me on using a kahler trem... i love that tremolo system. Thanks for the interview 🙏 🙌 😀

This may sound cheesy, but I really fell like some of these stories of the band members meeting/getting into music illustrate God's providence. Like as a 34 year old autistic guy, Alice in chains music spoke to me and has held my attention in such a special way. I'll have few week periods of listening to dirt and unplugged in their entirety every day. My late dad was also captivated by these guys. I was a kid in the 90s, so I remember my dad buying the unplugged and music bank DVD (back when that was a thing). Really cool to hear Jerry talk in this format, and his new music is very nice.

I’ve seen him in Boise twice in the last year and a half. Once in March 2023 at the Knitting Factory when he was doing the Brighten tour and again later that year in October with Alice at the Idaho Center. I got to meet him and get pic when I saw him on tour Brighten. When he came with Alice, I took my 3 teenage boys and waited for him to come out of the venue by his tour bus. He came out with his security guy and was walking towards the bus when he saw my 3 boys and immediately walked over to them and gave them JC guitar picks that he had in his pocket and shook my oldest son’s hand and thanked them for coming to the show, then proceeded to walk to straight to the bus. Needless to say, that was not only super cool of him to do that, because he didn’t have to. He went out of his way and walked up to them. But it was also great from a father’s perspective that Jerry gave them a special memory that they’ll treasure forever. Class act all the way.
