Biden excoriated 45 throughout his eulogy. Contrasting the integrity of JC vs the abuse of power of 45. I would categorize Biden’s speech as a smack down of 45. At one point, 45 literally jerked back in his seat, as the words hit him in the face. It was lovely to witness Biden speaking out…. however now we need to see actions, not words. Harris turned around when she heard Obama speak to 45, and had the look of complete and utter disgust.

It looks like they were seated in order of presidency, so the two were put side by side. No way that Obama was trying to be "chummy," he was himself, being polite to 45 during a solomn, public event, perhaps to try to quiet him to be more respectful during the funeral. 45 wasn't the center of attention and didn't respect Carter or anyone else there, so was just talking about whatever, probably whatever was going through his mind. Anyway, Obama has respect and class. 45 has . . . 45. 45's presence at the funeral was only performance -- biggest "media event," he's there. If he can get something from it for himself, he's there. If he were genuinely respectful, he would have been quiet and attentive to the funeral. I think he was uncomfortable hearing and seeing all the respect and honor given to a humble and honorable Carter. The contrast in men couldn't be more pronounced. I suspect that Doug was overhearing some of what 45 was saying, based upon his expression while they 2 were talking. I felt badly for Kamala that she was also seated near 45. Another great contrast in character.
