I can’t disagree…impressive velocity, accuracy, gentle to shoot…just wish ammo was a little more plentiful.

I bought a Craft leather tuckable IWB holster for my 632UC. Once I added a wedge to hold the grip tight to my body it concealed beautifully, even under a tucked, properly sized shirt. This set-up is comfortable in the appendix position and immediately became my favorite EDC.

I believe Falco actually makes holsters for Craft. The one thing that is missing on the Falco IWB holster I was sporting in the video is tuckablitiy.

Nice video. I can tell you that the springs are different in these models and the geometry of the internal parts were slightly modified by S&W. I’m in charge of all the special projects at Lipsey’s and was in the launch video. Dale knows his stuff but he was not correct on this one and is not involved in the specs on these projects. Also the actual name of this model is the Ultimate Carry J-Frame. To say it’s the Ultimate Carry gun period would be a stretch. I am confident it is the Ultimate Carry Snub J-Frame style gun though.

@@jasonatlipseys Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and sharing your knowledge. Since I am fortunate enough to have your attention, would you mind commenting on how Lipsey’s Smith & Wesson 32 version compares to the new Lipsey’s Ruger LCR 32 version?
@jasonatlipseysАй бұрын
@ The LCR version was an effort to make a no frills, lightweight 32 H&R for those who are more price conscious and/or just like the Ruger’s better than the Smiths. To me the LCR 32 maybe the ideal “fire extinguisher” gun for those who aren’t into guns but look at having a gun like they look at owning a fire extinguisher.

Nice video. I've always liked the 32 H&R mag. It's a mild recoiling cartridge that's a decent EDC in its own right, AND you get that extra sixth shot in a J-frame size. My usual recommendation is for a Ruger LCR in 327 Federal, and then I say, "When you are ready, it can shoot the 327 Federal, which closely approaches 357 mag performance." Having said that, I have to say I'm liking that Lipskey's version because it's offered in 32 H&R mag, which I like and which is a decent EDC in its own right. And the price is better than the Ruger even after being given the internal polishing. Definitely a good option for many.
@DrTac2 ай бұрын
Completely agree with you. I m not a huge advocate of the .327, because for that kind of umph you may as well step it up to the .357…and by maxing out at 32 H&R Magnum, they were able to keep the price and the cost down. Thank you for taking the time to comment.

I cannot stand the trend with snubby revolvers having grips that don’t give enough space for all my fingers. I can’t think of a gun that needs a good grip more than a snubby. It’s supposed to be a gun you use when someone is on top of you wrestling you for your weapon, plus those little guns have some bark! Also I’m a huge fan of the way you insert close ups for explanations. Very clean and appealing
@DrTac2 ай бұрын
I totally agree that from a shooter’s perspective more grip is better…but the snubby is all about not just concealment, but deep concealment, and for that, smaller grips rock…but, to your point, that is the reason that Lipsey decided to revive the hard to find and expensive .32 H&R Magnum. This round,and its little sisters (the .32 short, .32 S&W, and .32 long) are very gentle shooting rounds, making the snubby much more controllable and enjoyable to shoot. This combination of a shootable, yet ballisticaly significant round, in a very small package that holds 6 rounds, combined with niceties of decent sights and an improved trigger is why Lipsey and Smith & Wesson felt justified naming this the Ultimate Carry revolver. It is definitely a compromise and it is clearly not the Ultimate Shooting revolver. Thank you for taking the time to comment and I’m glad you’re enjoying the format of our videos.😎

The whole point of a snubby is to be able to pocket carry it. A grip that extends below the bottom of the frame just about makes that impossible for most pockets. I think you’re definitely in the minority. The boot grip design is a favorite amongst snubby revolver aficionados. If you want a full size grip Hogue makes a few for real cheap. They also have some pricier classy wood grips. VZ, the maker of the grips provided on the Ultimate Carry model also makes a larger grip to allow all fingers on the grip. I really don’t understand what your issue. A S&W j frame is like a Glock. There is tons of aftermarket support and there are literally hundreds of grips out there, Wood, Rubber, G10, small, big, etc. You can’t be serious.
@DapperProf2 ай бұрын
This has been my daily pocket carry the last couple months. It's excellent, but definitely my performance center model 60 has a smoother trigger. My only wishes for this gun are square front sights, and the super-light scandium frame and Ti cylinder, like the 340PD - even if it would cost a couple hundred more, I'd take it. The grip is also heavy, not sure of the material density, but my instinct is a wood grip with the same shape would be lighter?

All good suggestions, although, as a defensive pocket gun, I’m kinda loving the XS High Viz front sight with e rear blacked out U-notch.

I like the Colt Cobra 🐍 the most, out of these offerings (I have one)... It has a heavier frame, so it's more shootable - and has better ergonomics with it's larger grip (imo), than the rest of them.

@@MrMightymolar Absolutely... You know just when it's trigger is about to break in DA. A nice light trigger - and especially in SA. Combine this with it's excellent sight picture (despite having a gutter rear sight) and it's grip, and it's very accurate. 👍

So, my warning to you is to NOT try either of the Kimbers (the K6S or the K6XS), because once you feel those, you won't be able to pull your wallet out fast enough😎

Why didn’t they allow chambering of 327 Federal magnum in the 32. That would have made it ultimate carry.
@DrTacАй бұрын
They would have had to beef the gun up and use heavier metals…and heavier 327s already exist.
@philiphusoveck10942 ай бұрын
What would you recommend more? The Kimber k6xs or the Smith& Wesson 632 uc, caliber not withstanding. I cannot decide which would be the better weapon.
@DrTac2 ай бұрын
So, it all comes down to what round you feel most comfortable carrying. For .32 H&R Magnum, clearly the 632UC is the winner. For .38 Special, the K6XS wins because it is small, light, but big enough to have a decent grip to readily handle +P loads. For .357 Magnum, I love my slightly heavier K6S. The Kimbers' triggers are really good and all three of these choices hold 6 rounds. At the end of the day, the 632UC is the smallest package and it still packs a ballistically acceptable round, so if I'm dressed lightly it wins. I hope this is helpful.
@philiphusoveck10942 ай бұрын
Caliber not withstanding. I currently own and shoot both calibers. I guess what I'm asking is which one is your favorite in general
@DrTac2 ай бұрын
@@philiphusoveck1094 I'm having a harder time answering this than I should...but I'm gonna say the 632UC. I do love my Kimbers, but the new XS sight on the 632UC is really eye catching and even though the Kimbers have better triggers, I gotta go with the UC.
