Hi Jon, thanks for the video. I’ve been watching several similar videos and luckily came across yours. My om602 turbo in my ‘93 w124 sounds EXACTLY like your motor so I’m hopeful a can or two of purge will give me the same results as you got. I’ll add another note when I do it this weekend.

Thanks Jim, even though I did this a while ago the injectors still sound as good as they did after the purge. Let me know how you get on.

Muy buen video! Una pregunta, cual es el tubo de retorno que va al filtro? La entrada está clara ya que viene de el prefiltro, pero el retorno no está claro. Muchas gracias, un saludo!!

It's interesting just how quickly it resolves that sound. I don't know if it lasts after you bring back the regular diesel though. I did do a purge and was over at my bench when suddenly I noticed a distinct change in the sound of the engine. Like magic it suddenly sounded much quieter just like this video shows. But that made me think it's just how the engine runs on diesel purge. It's hard for me to tell now whether the engine still sounds better or if it was only temporary. That being said, it does pull black stuff out of the injection system, so it must be doing something good.

My Volvo D5 felt like it was misfiring at idle. I emptied the tank and ran on 5 litres of diesel purge alone. The engine ran incredible on the pure diesel purge, almost silent in comparison. After filling back up with normal diesel, the car went back to sounding like a "normal" diesel, but missfire was gone and idle was much smoother. 8k miles later, it is still running very well.

Hi William, If you read the description it explains how I did the purge. Thanks
