Liquid ballast is a simple way of increasing the weight and grip of your machine. In this video I show how I use window washer fluid and a pump to fill the tires.

Thanks! All is fine but the recently warm weather has me really longing for spring. Unfortunately it got cold again and will be cold for a couple of weeks I believe.

Nice video, another thing that would be bad about using anti-freeze coolant is that if it leaks out pets are attracted to it and can consume it and it will harm them. They say that animals are attracted to it because of the sweet smell and taste. I had calcium water in my rear tires with tubes to keep it from the metal rims. If the tube leaks you will then get it in your rims and cause rust. If it is a small leak that is not detected because the tube is in a tubeless tire and valve stays sealed to rim you don't know the calcium is now on the outside of the tube on the rim causing it to rust with knowing it. I just replaced my rear tires and decided not to load them and see how it goes since I have my 800 lb. backhoe on the rear. It seems to be working ok so far.

Valid and important points! If we had Rimguard here I would use that but if you don’t need it great!

@@ArizonaKid you can get a lot of fluid in the bigger 23 or 26 inch tires that are mounted on most garden tractors!
