D4s or sorfin sp36 I'm still deciding which one to purchase.
@LiquidRetro6 жыл бұрын
If USB-C charging is important the SP36, if led tinto choice then the D4S
@wadepage78095 жыл бұрын
Get both. I got the D4S about 2 weeks ago. Love it! Baddest small flashlight in the stable of about 100 lights, though it did take a month to arrive. From what I learned in this video, sounds in many ways like a compact version of the SP36 with similar UI and output. Just bought the SP36 after viewing this video a couple days ago and it is arriving later today. Batteries ready. Can't wait!
@quasarflashlightreviews51745 жыл бұрын
D4s is 2000 lumens less bright but costs almost half. Are you willing to pay more for a better light? Also the D4s is smaller.
@LiquidRetro5 жыл бұрын
That said the D4 can't handle the thermals nearly as well because of its smaller size

Thanks for the thorough review. I would prefer the flashlight with a 4x XP-L HI. I have the good old Q8. It's getting a bit heavy in front of the light and powerful headlights that are starting to come out like the AMUTORCH X9 3 * SST40, which I also have. A little less light than the Q8 in a third of the weight.

You might do an updated video, and tell your viewers they can also just charge their batteries in a turbo charger. My 5000MaH 18650's will get a full charge in about 140 minutes in my turbo smart charger. I promise you there are people just getting into flashlights who will have no idea about that stuff if you don't mention it, which will in turn get less people to buy from your store. I say that because back when I first was getting into flashlights a few years ago, I was none the wiser. Back then I would have just thought, "Well damn, I have to deal with only charging the battery while they're in the light", and that itself would deter me from getting one.

In the review you say that Sofirn recommends protected batteries, but the manual says they recommend unprotected as well. I spoke with Simon from Sofirn's Aliexpress store and he told me they recommend unprotected more. This is what I sent to Simon: "In the manual it says to use Protected cells. BUT, on the next page it says it recommends UNProtected cells. Here are screenshots: i.imgur.com/gZvYcMm.png And this one: i.imgur.com/bIREgBj.png Which is true? Does the manual only mean that protected is safer but unprotected is better for light output?" Simon replied with: "yes,unprotected is more recommended "
@LiquidRetro5 жыл бұрын
It honestly depends on the cells. Protected can be long and limit high current too. Unprotected works just fine if you know how to manage them and drain too loe
