What do you think? Is it REALLY worth the hype? I think a lot of people will buy this and probably never use it 😅

When I first saw it and people were hyping on it I thought to myself the method is so obvious and it is a naff effect in my opinion.
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
It certainly won’t suit everyone and will look naff for some people.

Agree its just a moment but stand alone doesn't stand up imho. I think the method is quite obvious so really best as a minor interlude between effects. If you're already wowing people with a ring or coin routine a "liquify" moment could be cool. Sunbed to support good honest reviews❤

Even Tobias describes it as a “wtf moment” that happens quickly. It’s lovely but £65 for a 2 second “moment” might not suit some people. Personally I think I’ll get a lot of use out of it and it’s worth the price.

Its a beautifull moment tho, in a way every trick is a moment. I do think this will leave a lasting memory with the people you use this on.
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
Definitely a beautifully magical moment but not all tricks are moments. This is not a routine or complete trick with a beginning, middle and end. It’s a moment in between those 3 pillars that make up any good trick. I agree with you that it will be something that sticks in people’s minds as well.

I just ordered this. I’ll let you guys know how it goes feel about it once I work with it a bit. I can see this being great in combination with a smoke making gimmick. That way you can transform an object into solid, liquid, and gas.

This is why reviews and finding a reviewer you trust is becoming so important. Many “reviewers” are more like promoters trying to sell as many units as possible. I think it’s better that people feel value for their money and can make an informed decision without regret later on. Personally I love Liquify but, as you’ve pointed out, it was hyped up to the point where the reality may disappoint people.

That’s a shame. I felt like with this product it wasn’t necessary to show the gimmicks. They’re lovingly made and showing them so openly takes away from Tobias’ work.

I think the ”melting” sharpie and everything he has Done with that, hot sauce for example is great, 70$ tho😄
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
Yeah! My favourite thing from the project is the melting sharpie. $70 is steep but you have to think they got thousands of rings machined as well as moulds. That’s why I say the price tag is high but only in relation to the current global economy and not necessarily for the effort that’s gone in to the product.

You don’t need to be a magician to know how it works. It’s simple, and because it’s simple, you will need to practice a lot to make it look natural. For me, this is not my style so i will not buy this trick. Thanks for the review. By the way, can i order a review about moneymorphosis by Jason Bird?😅
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
Pretty much 👌 Never heard of Moneymorphosis but will have a look.
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
I looked at Moneymorphosis - it’s OK at best. Doesn’t work with a lot of the worlds currency now they’re polymer instead of paper. Switch isn’t good enough. Anddddd the trailer is VERY cringe with two made up women acting like they’re looking for money 🥴
@y0Jesper2 ай бұрын
What do you think about the trick ”Aroma”
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
Never heard of it but after searching I think the weak reactions in the trailer say it all. There will obviously be some kind of force, equivoque or such. There will likely be a switch of bottles. Maybe it’s clever but from the trailer I wouldn’t buy it.

The thing that sucks is.. too many magicians doing the same thing out of the box. We have to be different and unique !
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
That’s where I think this product shines. A lot of people don’t think. They learn and then they do. Tobias goes above and beyond to teach lots of ideas. Most creators don’t do that. It’s the same as any art form though. Millions of people paint the same way, sculpt the same way, dance the same way etc…that’s why only some artists become renowned. So few put the work in to be original.

It's an alright effect in all honesty. Have people forgetten about the glue gimmick that looks like you are pouring white craft glue into your mouth? That thing was $35 or so from memory and that's only for one 'gimmick'.
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
Oh, I’ve never seen the craft glue trick! For certain people in the right moment this will really baffle people but for most I think it will be like you say - an alright effect and people probably won’t be doing it in a month just like no one uses Optix or Ping or Candyman or most of Tobias’ effects even though they’re all very clever, fun and magical.

Very much more of a sight gag. Tobias describes it well on the tutorial by saying it should be more like a “wtf moment” rather than a trick itself.

@@EverythingMagicPro99I immediately saw this as a great effect to transition into ring magic routines. I’ve also got an idea lined up to use this in combination with “Bounce no Bounce”.
@keithwolfe-festivalandstreet2 ай бұрын
I was so excited about this! Melting a ring made of strange material is already the main bit of my set. But the price for what I need from it high, sure it’s great to have other colors and there fire applications but really wish we could have bought these individually, seen the entire tutorial and bought other colors as we saw the need. Hoping Murphy will release a metallic no bounce set and restock the blacks that have sold out at penguin since I bought liquify and think that black will pair well with the sharpie effects I own. Smilesotheylikeyou
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
It would be GREAT to see the gimmicks available individually. Maybe we should all message Tobias/Murphy’s and ask if they’ll do that for us 😃

Believe yourself that its a thick liquid that you should not have poked
@EverythingMagicPro99Ай бұрын
Do not try to melt the ring. That’s impossible. Instead try to realise the truth. There is no ring. Only then will you see the truth. It is not the ring that melts, it is yourself.

Yes, just like every time a trick by a popular creator releases, it gets ruined quickly 😅 No different from movies or books or video games etc….such is the nature of people on the internet. In a few weeks everyone will have forgotten about this and will be buying the next £60 product. 🤷♂️

Dreadful effect. Nothing more than a finger switch.
@bkstudio19902 ай бұрын
Wow a lotta negative nellies commenting. This looks like it seems like it should be a camera trick as it visual but I dont think it is. This should be done a quick almost out of left field thing and not a trick on its own but mixed in with a routine. People sayings its "obvious". Its not, you just dont actually understand how magic works other than youtube.
@EverythingMagicPro992 ай бұрын
It’s also obvious because so many people are posting videos of quite terrible performances. As I say in the review; I love it and will use it AFTER I’ve practiced and perfected the miming. Which is key to the deception.
@cbnewham56332 ай бұрын
You are buying in to hype. As a non-magician I almost instantly spotted what was happening when I saw another review video demonstrating the "trick". It's really lame. Sure, the inventor can pull it off extremely well (although it isn't really very visual), but now I know what the price tag is I reckon most people are being had. Bits of rubbery plastic and a fancy box. Sort of the Apple of magic. For a few pounds you can make a great home-made gimmick that has me guessing even when played on KZbin at 0.25 speed.
