LIQUITEX ACRYLIC GOUACHE REVIEW ★ TIGER SPEED PAINTING ★

Hi guys!
I am happy to be back this week with a new #review video of the #liquitex #acrylic gouache primaries set of 6. I have been looking for a new and compact acrylic gouache set since it's been two years since I got my Holbein one and I am starting to run out. I talk about the claims these paint have from opacity, lightfastness, packaging, finish and over all my experience while using them to paint. I am painting a #tiger illustration in my Stillman and Birn sketchbook as I thought it would be fitting for the #yearofthetiger. I hope you guys find this review helpful and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Great video, per usual, Anca! The painting is stunning. I love the eyes. I have been on the fence about purchasing the Liquitex but will add it back to my wishlist. I would love to see videos of you at art stores, art galleries, or just day in the life type of videos that show places in Romania, or your neighborhood, that inspire you and your art!

Thank you Keira! I will try to see what I can do about a video like that. However it's a bit difficult since I live in a pretty small town where there really aren't many art galleries or cool places. That's why I like to travel at least once a year and visit such places in Europe

Flou set is only packaged in 59ml bottles .. that's why price is higher. Painting is beautiful.

YES, both Liquitex and Golden SoFlat are better price per ml (in the US at least). I think holbein is the social standard but it's not the most cost effective. Holbein does offer a lot more convenience colors though, I think that's definitely a draw, if you have a really set color palette for your style, just having the right colors at hand can be super convenient.

Yes I definitely prefer the color choices from Holbein :D. But you can just as easily mix your own colors with the liquitex ones. I think they are both really good especially if you like acrylic gouache

Glad it was helpful! I was initially going to buy that but changed my mind last minute :))). The sketchbook is the mixed media series from Stillman and Birn. Very good sketchbook :D. Highly recommend it :D

im one of those people that think acrylic gouache is way overpriced and im not a fan, even tho i do know some people love it and create gorgeous work with it like your tiger , its just not for me

Yes it definitely is let's say compared to acrylic. But for some reason I was never really a fan of acrylic. I feel stressed that it dries down too fast and also sometimes it gets streaky:))). But you are right . it can get overpriced. Thank you!
