I'll give this video a like for it's clarity to assist other people like myself whom have no idea what we're doing. I wanted to try port forwarding because my BOCW had a blazing gator error in which many people tried port forwarding so I gave it a shot as well. Thanks, man, seems like it worked, i tried everything my games always said that there's no internet connection when I wanted to play even though the internet was working, this happened after I changed my router from 500MB to 1GB Modem, dont really know why it happened but im still happy it got fixed!

Liron Segev hey so it was working AMAZING for a few days but I’m back to lagging super hard again... I haven’t logged in to my router since making the change so I didn’t cancel the port forwarding. Any ideas for a fix? According to my PS4 my download speed is 79 and upload is 19 so no reason I should be lagging THIS hard. Playing with my friends and they are not experiencing lag. What about the last Range, 3479-UDP u never used it. I know u hit the both option for 3478 but ur missing 3479. Is 3479 not inportant? I use netgear and even though the range 3478 is the same for TCP and UDP there was no error so i was able to still use the last range 3479. What i really want to know, is why u didnt use last range fo u not need it?

Unfortunately, each router is different - look up your router's setting for port forwarding and follow those prompts.

I have a Netgear R6400 router and am having problems doing the port forwarding for two different gamesMortal Kombat 11 and Apex Legends. These use the some of the same ports and the router won't let me assign a port to more than 1 game. Is there a work-around?

If it's using the same ports wouldn't it be forwarded anyway? The name you enter is just for organizing, I think it won't matter what you call it just that the specific port has been forwarded. Maybe just make sure that the UDP and TCP ports for that game are both covered. I may be wrong, but would make sense.

Correct me if I'm wrong but for this to work for any length of time, you need to setup a static ip for the console. Or everytime you turn off you ps4 and turn back on it could have a different ip address because it's dynamic

Port forwarding forwards external ports to your PS4 on your internal network. QOS is about the priority of different types of traffic. I use various routers so not just one brand. There are pros and cons for owning your own equipment vs leasing it from the ISP: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqjFYqd5nrKgeKM

I wouldn't pay. Something else is wrong. Maybe set a static IP address for your PS4 and make sure you can ping it from the router

What is difference between port range forwarding and single port forwarding?

a range means that is starts as one port number and ends at another and forwards all those ports number in between. A single port means that it only forwards that one specific port.

Liron Segev mine is a little different I’m doing this now. I have a night hawk net gear modem and separate night hawk router. Off the bat is asks for external port range separate box(only 1 box) , and then a separate line that says internal port range (1 separate box not 2 shown like yours). First time doing this so I’m a little lost. I don’t have 2 separate boxes for starting and end just one per row. When I try and add the range. After doing the 1935-1935, you say to enter the range. Since there is only 1 box per row, It only allows me to add 3478, for the internal port it will not let me change that number to 3480. So I assumed I had to do it as 3478-3480? Is this right? Sometimes when I try and copy and paste a really long one such as for apex, it would automatically paste and duplicate the numbers given and it won’t let me change that even if I type it in without pasting.
