Just finished her book. It was excellent, I felt that little girl's pain and I was amazed of her continual love for both of her parents, her continual hope things would improve. Many in her situation turn bitter, take drugs to deal with the pain but she became stronger. This is to be admired.

I have been listening to Lisa’s book on audible. It is riveting! Lisa is an outstanding writer for starters. I can think of a hundred adjectives and adverbs to describe the writing and retelling of her life and how her experiences shaped her. She doesn’t spare anyone, not even herself. Her family may be uncomfortable for things to be divulged, but Lisa is honest and fair. The light she sheds on her stepmother and aunt shows their care and generosity in how they treated her, especially as she was growing up. Sometimes things go awry. It’s clear she’s not trying to hurt anyone. They say they remember things differently. Of course they do. They are not her. They did not experience these things. Lisa did and she is telling her story as honestly as possible and has great insight in the telling. Bravo, Lisa!

She says to go back there into those memories, being there with that child without interfering, just her being present in the past, in that car... That's how you do it my friend. You go back, not to process, not to interfere, just to be present. It rewrites your childhood, because now the wise adult is present in it, basically telling the child "look I'm here, we've made it, it'll all be okay". Hope this perspective helps. Anyway, take care.

Narcissist is a misused label. It's endemic to a degree in today's social media age but not at the end of the spectrum. It's true, though, that you'll never get a true narcissist to admit to abuse as it will destroy the perfect them that hides the severely damaged insecure them. In the end you move on, after a long inner battle, and they'll won't. When everyone has abandoned them due to the narcissistic traits they have the perfect martyr saviour complex to feed. It's not them, it's everyone else. A complex syndrome with which it's hard to not sympathise even though they seek to destroy everyone they associate with. They simply can't see the issues within themselves. And it's totally impossible to be rational with them.

Now, mobile phone has become such a common place, but when iPhone was just coming out it was groundbreaking. In the big picture, Steve's life should be celebrated and any of his less than perfect behaviors should be just the footnote of such a brilliant existence. Any real father would gladly throw away this technology for the gift of raising a daughter

She is a hauntingly beautiful and charismatic image of Steve. It’s so unfortunate though that this image represents the result of a rather dark side of Steve Jobs.

Best of all there was peace at the end!!!! The dark side or weakness of a man does not make a total bad man. This because WE ALL HAVE WEAKNESS AND BAD SIDE!!!

I supposed Tim Cook is also under Steve Jobs shadows, although I think Tim makes Apple products aligned really well.

All I can hear and see in her eyes is his father. Making mistakes is better than faking perfections.

6:17 I feel like he completely missed the point. I knew it wasn't him and feel like this moment solidifies that even when you're aware, Steve still overshadows.

Mona was the one who kept at Steve to have a relationship with Lisa. It is surprising that Mona feels like she does, but by that time she may have wanted to stay on the Jobs family's good side.

The missing father theme, just as Steve's father was missing in his life. Ancestral trauma

Steve Jobs was our eras Thomas Edison he changed the world. But in a few decades historians will see him as a good marketer who took way to much credit and was vindictive at times and will judge him less kindly.

06:16, has he been listening to her..? How could such a presence have been her father? Steve was the main reason her mother became enraged.

I noticed that too - such an odd interjection. Also when he said "and you remember that?" just after she said "it was terrifying".
