She made a serious career of back-up singing, but you can hear her doing lots of solos if you watch live performances by Luther (Vandross), Tina (Turner) and the Stones because she was featured A LOT by them as they recognized her talent and seemed happy to showcase it. She still has it (that voice, that talent). LOVE her. And glad you finally listened to her 😃
