Kids brains literally develop emotionally before they develop logically, so even when kids are mature, they still react emotionally before they react with logic and reason. This "8 year old" (who has been 8 since the start of the series, where she picked up the interest in Jazz) often enforces her desires onto others, and Marge is often the only one who humors her, as Homer and Bart let it be known they could care less. She tries to guilt Marge but stating her mother doesn't pay attention to her, but had she paid attention to how disinterested Marge was while she was playing, Lisa wouldn't have been so surprised to hear this. I had hobbies growing up too that my parents didn't care about, and I accepted that just because they bought me the things that facilitated them didn't mean they cared in the slightest about them. In the end, it was better to enjoy them by myself than to inflict others with things that they had no interest in.

I've been Lisa in a few situations with family, where I realize that they'll never appreciate what I love. I was around that age when I realized that my dream for the future of my whole family getting involved in my sport was never going to happen, and while no one had ever lied about it, the realization hurt a lot. It kind of affects me to this day where I'm really hesitant about sharing anything I like with my family because of the fear that they will judge me or not share my enthusiasm.
