Yes the music in this game is incredible, it's hard to say it "gets better" because all of it fits the area that it is in wonderfully. Also, someone mentioned that the story gets good in Inazuma, that's definitely a personal preference thing. Mondstadt does a wonderful job at introducing you to the world and Liyue's quest is by no means bad. I'd also like to take a moment to point out that the lore of this game is DEEP, they've had the story finished well before the game even came out and it shows. There is nothing in this game that is not placed where it is for a reason

Inazuma is the lowest point of the story, but Mondstadt and Liyue aren't that good, It gets truly good at Sumeru.

The 1st voice of Paimon is the one I like.. the old voice we hear here in the start of the story until Liyue.. the 2nd voice where they had it higher in pitch is the most annoying. Same as Barbara and Navia. I really dont like high pitched voice characters.

i like Paimon too. She's the heart of the game. And more often than players like to admit, she thinks the same way as the player does. It's ok to dislike Paimon .. but i wish the dislikers weren't so keen on constantly reminding everyone.

What helped me a lot when i first played HSR is the fact that its very similar to Genshin, i think this also applies to people coming from HSR to genshin

Don't forget to finish the rest of the trials if you haven't already as the reward are materials needed to do the trial characters' first level ascension. Even if you don't pull for the trial characters, you'll find use for most of the materials sooner or later.

Traveler is indeed of age. Very, very, very of age. lol You can see some hints of that in their story entries. He and his sister have "seen the birth and death of stars". The thing is he just never corrects anyone whenever they think he's younger.

You should keep 2 copies of "Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers" at refinement 5. It is a 3 star weapon and is one of the best catalysts in the game.

Paimon's voice changed a bit along the patches. At sometimes, it went quite high pitched and that would be a reason that some might dislike her in the long run.

First thing, please do click/collect everything you see, you'll need all that stuff later. ;) Secondly, Paimon's voice isn't as bad right now? They're just easing you in. She'll get louder and shriller as the adventure continues. But at that point your ears will have numbed already, lol.

Yae Miko is an off field damage dealer. In Genshin you have a party of 4 and when you switch out certain characters can leave behind mechanics. Yae focuses on dealing electro dmg over time that you can amplify with Dendro. She can also play on field since she’s electro and can apply electro with her normal attacks. Elemental reactions play a pretty big role in Genshin when it comes to finding enemies weaknesses, and also amplifying damage. Hope this helps!

For banner pity, it's pretty much the same as HSR except the weapon banner. Since the banner has 2 weapons, you are subjected to 2 50/50s First one is whether you'll get a standard or event weapon Second one is WHICH event weapon you'll get. The weapon banner has a mevhanic called fate points. Basically the points will stack everytime you didn't get the weapon you set for to a max 2 times. Which means you have to lose the 50/50 at least twice to guarantee 100% to get a certain weapon. Generally people don't recommend pulling for weapons if you don't plan to spend a lot of money. It's just not worth it and those funds could be allocated to new characters instead plus many characters do very well with 4 star weapons

Collecting everything: oh, do it freely, better to have extra than being short. funfact about your character name: is kind of accepted Lore that we use a fake name over mc real name. Honkai shoutouts to Genshin of top of my head: in Belobog before the metro connect to the slums, the barrier will tell you Paimon dialogue about trying to get out of bounds. This is in the cellphone, one of the chats of Sampoo and mc is a reenactment of one of the first memes of Genshin between certain character and Paimon, once you get there I will let you know. Penacony Duelist Plume consumable has one of Nilou's battle dialogue in it. 26:28: there is a contraption you will get in the future to craft that help using food faster while exploring and combat, because there is stuff that drain our life constantly, from enemies effects (ex: Corrosion), weather effects (ex: sheer cold) and even our characters (EX: Hutao) and there is characters whose HP is able to empty the full HP from the Statues in this game, in Honkai even a maxed HP Bailu won't empty the teleports.

When your stamina gets better, go back to the starting area and then swim towards that island at the distance. As you start to get to that rock between the Beach and the Island, you'll see a Luxurious Chest. 😁

@@DarkUltima999Yep, sadly this is when the new China censoring laws was enforced.... including not to give "power" or "too much hype" to anything Japanese over Chinese. Hoyo literally was founded by Evangelion/Gainax Geeks so they were pushed to cut stuff. I guess that is why I was not as pissed with them when this happened.

gasp! ... Paimon is _not_ a mascot. Paimon is management. Traveller is muscle. If it wasn't for Paimon "accidentally" putting herself in a position to be "saved" by Traveller, Traveller would still mooching around doing nothing. And ... how long has Traveller been around before Paimon turned up? ... and in that while hadn't managed to find a Statue of Seven and be gifted with Elemental Power? Is it just coincidence that it required Paimon to be around for Traveller to be _mysteriously_ gifted with Elemental Power? I think not! A good way to hide a highly significant character is to make them appear insignificant or looked down on. If Paimon was 8 ft tall with a booming voice and intimidating appearance, but had the same function of guidance and exposing Elemental Power, then everyone would suspect Paimon's ultimate purpose. As she is, everyone dismisses her. People are so easily fooled by superficialities. ps: i think Traveller is more likely to be the final boss than Paimon. pps: Why dandelions for the City of Freedom? It seems random because you're not familiar with dandelions. When they're seeding you can blow on them to send their seed billowing into the air (we used to call them "dandelion clocks" .. but no idea why they're like clocks. Some kind of weird english country traditional naming.). Ie. dandelions associated with wind in the Anemo region.

If you've watch the character demos and trailers for the archons then it's not really much of a spoiler as they contain hints of their identity. Plus only the Anemo and Geo archons actively hide their identities due to plot reasons.

@@Rihorama More perceptive players will catch it. In Anemo Archon's case the trailer outright spoils it and some players have guessed Geo's just through his demo. You don't have to be big brain to see it.

You clearly haven't been in this situation, having a shitton of information and connections drop at you withing one or two hours with you having no grounds to connect them. Before my husband started to play, back when I didn't believe he would, I showed him cerain after-duel custcene from Inazuma with a very important and memorable event I'd say. He started the game in three months and when he got there with his playthrough, he was surprised by what happened. And I dare you to call him less perceptive...

Not to mention you didn't even say what your hubby is surprised about so I lack context on the point you're trying to make. In my case, it's more like, "Hey, that guy seems super important! He might be an archon!" Definitely not some big brain moment like you're making it out to be.

Huh. Has the timed "kill slimes" challenge in Lisa's tutorial temple been removed? Because while it's definitely a problem point new players would complain about, the actual problem with that temple is the crates at the beginning: it's players successfully breaking those crates with Lisa's charged attack that primes them to misread the tutorial popups later. I've seen enough streamers mess that challenge up for that initial reason to be sure.

@@LordeChalupa Thank you: seems to be edited out and I can't go back myself to see until non-hangout questlines become replayable (currently expected somewhere between in two years and never; there are major technical concerns). That challenge is designed (with a popup to show you) to be one-shotted in about three total seconds with Lisa's radial charged attack. Nice conclusion to the room demonstrating how Lisa's basic attack can create chain lightning between Wet opponents, and the following room letting you try out her plunging attack as an opener. The problem I kept seeing was that new players try to break the crates, find her basic attack doesn't autotarget crates, find her charged attack DOES break crates, fixate on that as her only move and just dismiss the popup as saying "you have to hold the attack button down to do anything". It's just barely possible to kill those slimes using Lisa's charged attack in the given time, which seals the lesson in along with a new one that she has trouble fighting. Good luck with what's likely to be your next "learn this character" domain: it isn't really part of this questline, won't show up that soon and you won't immediately get the character from it, but it also stops holding your hand and it's built to both need Pyro and be extremely hard to complete with Amber. (Tip: the button to look at a character's build and talent page works for trial characters in your party.)

Xiao is a dps, he needs to be on field, Yae is subdps, you uses her E three times and switch to a dps. So, in general, Yae is way more valuable than Xiao.
