@@margojulian1003 After Elvis died,--- was it my imagination, or did Priscilla try to keep her protected from the public? So she didn' t grow up feeling like she was in a "fish bowl"? Created in atmosphere where everybody wanted to rob her of her privacy. It would appear so. I got the impression, Priscilla tried to raise her alone, and tried to break the pattern of her being so spoiled by her doting daddy! But it was too late, she got so rebellious, it made her teen years a nightmare for Priscilla. I understand she met her 1st husband while they were both residents of a drug treatment facility, when they were 18 & 19 yrs old. I must of learned that on one of these video' s on KZbin.

@@cherylmcelveen2817 Did you watch the, "ELVIS 2022 BIOPIC"?? If so, do you remember the real reason Elvis had to go into the service? He wasn' t drafted you know. It was either go in to the service OR PRISON. He deliberately disobeyed the Tennessee Governor' s warnings of stopping the "pelvic rock" dancing on stage, or he would have him arrested. That dance style was causing riots, and parents pressuring the Governor to stop Elvis from performing OR have him arrested. Too many young, young, girls were being influenced by Elvis' s dancing and parents were going crazy trying to discipline their daughters. Elvis insisted in doing things his way!! Defying the Governors warnings. ELVIS refused to not have control to perform the way he wanted, because he wanted to dance his way! Do you also remember, he was raised as a single child, and his mom couldn' t say "NO" to him/Elvis did the same thing w/his only child, LISA MARIE. They both were defiant, in having their own way. Elvis had his way w/his mom,---Lisa Marie had her way w/her dad. Both were raised as single children. Now Do You Remember the CHAOS Elvis caused??

@@L.M.O. Yes, Elvis was a rebel and caused a gigantic stir with most adults, but the kids loved it. NO on the draft part. It was NOT go, or go to prison!! He was drafted, and was offered to entertain. He declined saying he wanted to be like the other guys, which he was. All branches of the service wanted Elvis. They saw him as the attraction to recruit. The movie is great. I saw it, so far, 4 times. But there are things in there that did not happen and are there for sensationalism. Elvis did not fire Parker on stage. It wasn't Vegas that killed him, it was the hellish concert tours throughout the 70's. All sold out, and poorly booked in many cities by the creep Parker. He did almost 1700 concerts in the 70's. More than anyone else in this country. No one could stand up to that, when he was already becoming ill. Elvis had MANY more influences than black, as the movie tries to make you feel. The gospel quartets that were so popular in the south back then were among his favorites, as well as country. And the Assembly of God church his mother attended. Anyone who disputes that Elvis wasn't the rebel of all rebels, know nothing of his life. They need to read a bit. But, he was a sweet rebel. Nonetheless, a rebel. There's many hundreds of books out there. And...the movie pretty much shows that rebel. Now go back you all and watch Lisa! I can't take my eyes off of her. Watching so many videos. I also saw her in Memphis a number of times. Sadly, I am just now learning to really appreciate some of her music. She really was talented.

Wow, wasn't Lisa Marie such a gorgeous, interesting and humorous lady. I can understand how things went downhill in her life. I couldn't cope well with some family tragedies either but its so disappointing considering how lovely she was that she couldn't go on living a great happy life. MsP I can vouch for that bc I from New Orleans and lost my home due to Katrina. I didn't get to meet her, but the local news was talking about celebrities down here trying to help and Lisa Marie was one of them..She has Presley House down here which helped people get back on their feet...she also does TONS of charitable work helping sick children-that is also one of the many reasons that Michael fell in love w/her as welll.

@Texas Made, So her songs on her 2nd, 3rd, and 4th album' s were mellow ballads then? Because her 1st album, "To Whom It May Concern" was a whole lot of venting her anger. She said the "Inspiration" for that album was the school's who would diagnose children with behavior issue so they could "drug" them. Then schools would get a cut of $ from government. The amount of $ the schools would receive depended how many diagnoses they turned in, to receive medicine from the government. So the # of drugging kids based on # of diagnoses they turned in for students w/learning disibilities. She claimed 80 Million kids were being drugged. She claimed it was a multi-million $ business racket. She claimed she changed that. She testified, (it must of been in Congress), and a law was written and passed that schools could no longer drug students w/learning disibilities. Lisa Marie was quoted in her interview, "My songwriting is my outlet of my worst times. I use my music to get rid of those things." When she sings she yells, that' s her release of the anger. She was reaching out to community' s for three different causes. The Homelessness, Fighting Illiteracy, Schools Drugging Children.

Michael didnt need a fan to worship him. In LMP, he saw someone who was real & honest. Also, a MATURE woman would've made the same decision LMP did: even though you promise a man a child, if you can see the relationship isn't going well, you don't go ahead & have a baby w/ him just because you originally promised him a baby. That would have been very irresponsible of her. Also, I find it hipocritical for an MJ fan to "hate" anyone they dont know since we all know "hate" isnt what MJ stood for.

Rest in peace Lisa. People don't realise how much Lisa loved Michael. Most of her songs are about MJ. Just a Dream, Weary, I Was Wrong, Over Me, Indifferent, Now What and The Road Between. She followed him around the world for 5 years after they divorced. She stood for hours at his coffin at his funeral after everyone had left and left flowers in a vase engraved with the message 'I will always love you. Eternally. L x'.
