After digging around in the files of the game, I found out most of the spritesheets are edited ones from earthbound. The posing and diagonal movement frames seem to be left untouched, since RPGmaker doesn’t support that kind of movement.

@Levi Athan there was a natural path to follow that you should have seen, I never had any issues with progression, thats another really well done thing. There was no need for a tutorial lol, all u did was walk around. I never experienced any bugs, so you must've gotten unlucky. I think it was a good game because it tells a story that is familiar in media and real life but executed in a manner thats so unique and grotesque that it left a massive impact. My favorite part has to be the ending. Like veterans of war, returning home only to see the faces of the ghosts they killed, Lisa is unable to escape her fathers mark, and all her most fond memories are replaced by his face. I imagine it is similar for real victims. Austin did say he made the game because of his history with a traumatized ex.

Recently in coming back to these videos, I see a lot of people commenting negative jazz. "Wow, they came back then vanished." , "I knew that you announcing something would be bullshit" , and just a lot of begging for a game to be made. I'm sure Austin and Marina were not lying, hell, maybe something came up in their lives. At the end of the day, we have hundreds of hours of LISA content because of this dope community. So, just chill out and let the announcement come when it comes. And, if that day just so happens to never come, create the game YOU want to have. The beauty of this game series is that it's flexible and moldable. So why on Earth, would we have such a constricting mindset? I love this game series, and even if nothing new ever comes, I will still say, "Thank you, Austin, for everything. You're creations have helped me through some pretty dark moments in my life."

I think a huge part of this series' aesthetic and artistic POWER stems from the fact that most of the game is reading. You are reading dialogue, explanations, signs, and in some instances reading imagery; it actually leaves quite a bit up to the imagination. Reading the dialogue while having the music in the background allows you to be totally absorbed in the story, while still feeling emotionally grounded. I did a presentation at my college on this game, because it truly transcends the typical "gaming" experience.
