I feel like most fan interpretations tried to add their own touch, and so Dingaling did a little trolling by making the most literal possible interpretation of his joy mutant form. Almost as if to say: "yeah, he's a big muscly dude with crazy blue hair. Were you expecting something more?"

joyful is generally just way less fun due to how much more expansive painful is notably with party members (or the lack thereof), joyful kinda takes some of the most fun aspects of painful away as well as being much more based on skill than strategy like painful

I swear this fight has some sort of hidden rules where if you commit a single mistake, Hawk Hollywood will stab you and subsequently you will die from all the warlords hitting at 100% accuracy. If Hawk Hollywood stab you, you already lost.

I know this isn't the intended way to beat the fight, but holy hell this is the most RNG reliant fight I have ever seen in any game, congrats on beating it. I'm too busy having heart squeeze being spammed on me.

What is it with Hawk and his heart squeeze? Was it introduced in an update or something? Because i tried fighting these guys without healing items (100+ tries) and he never used heart squeeze on me

@@2bit97 This is probably a bug. In fact this bug causes all of the warlords to use one attack as if the sequence was scripted and I can list the skill that the warlords use. Once again they only use this skill when this (probably) bug occurs. -Hawk: Heart Squeeze (For some reason he's the first warlord to act instead of Lincoln) -Big Lincoln: Heaven's Fist -Dice Mahone: Silence Fist (Unofficial Name of the skill) -Han Tsunami: Tsunami Driver -Buffalo Van Dyke: Power Bomb (Interestingly, Buff can't use Power Bomb in his boss fight in Painful) The rest of the warlords I forgot which move they use for this bug but it's most likely some sort of attack with the exception of Mr. Beautiful of course Also for some reason when the bug happens, all the warlords appear to be immune to sleep and blindness despite the visual of +(Aliment) still appearing. I don't know if this is 100% a bug and could be in place to prevent players from beating this boss legit, but this definitely feels like a bug

I can't do this, even with joy I still get combo'ed to death because they casually ignore the sleep debuff! Something funny that I found is that Cool+2nd wind do synergize, which means getting KO doesn't trigger 2nd wind until the coolness wears off. Doubt if it's intended to work that way, but nor sleep works properly in this fight so might as well use it lol (Also, you get the Cool buff after drinking Olathe's Finest)

I have to ask, how many attempts did it take for you to get this one? Because holy fuck, Dice won't stop spamming silence, Hawk won't stop spamming heart squeeze, and EVERYONE lands their hits despite being blinded AND having stink on myself.

Im so happy you uploaded this, i just didnt do the fight and focused on not dying, and then escaping after a few turns. Such a BS fight that requires you to save your firebombs and not get unlucky. Joyful is way too short and way too fun, so this fight has possibly the most missed opportunity in The series.

@@2bit97 I would like to know a few things here. Most importantly, *what platform is this on?* Second, when was this recorded? This person's comment is referring to a bug that happens in this fight under most circumstances. Basically, after doing any amount of damage to any of them, then after a few turns or so Hawk Hollywood will start to spam his "crush heart" skill as well as every other warlord using their most powerful attacks. This is known to be a bug for a couple reasons. 1. Every warlord will begin attacking regardless of whether or not they are incapacitated (sleep), pacify still works and they ignore blind. 2. Hawk will *never* stop using said skill, and it makes him go first rather than big lincoln (tested by stalling with second wind). Because of this bug the fight becomes unwinnable once it gets triggered *even with joy,* as you simply take more than your max health in damage each turn.

This fight is dogshit. I used pacify and they still attacked me, I put them to sleep and they still attacked me, I made them blind, they hit every shot they took. It's a shame this fight is literally broken because it COULD be really fun.

i came here to see any possible strategy to defeat the warlords after i tried like 50 times, and now i see there is a bug that causes enemies attack no matter if they're blind or sleep and i didn´t notice that untill now. i would really like to beat them legit. im gonna end this in pacifist :/

I don't understand how you did it. Well I mean I can SEE how but I don't understand how it's possible! For starters I'm higher level than you, since I actually had behead going into the fight. I also noticed that Big L' "soul strike" missed which surprised me because he never misses this attack despite buddy having the stinky buff. Hawk NEVER used Heart Squeeze, which is statistically impossible, and the warlords actually stopped attacking when you put them to sleep, which works for me too in the first few turns, but then at some point they start to say "I don't need sleep I need to kill" and completely ignore the debuff. And other than that the warlords were just doing fuck'all for a good chunk of your fight which makes sense, since it's the only way to survive this fight, but it doesn't go like that for me! Instead they just full send it and kill me in one turn from full health (despite being blinded they'll just stop missing all on the same turn). And I'm not saying your win was undeserved, the fight was still visibly very hard especially when all the warlords are still up, but this seemed fair, like you had a chance, meanwhile I'm 100+ tries in and my biggest achievement has been killing Han by spamming diesel firebombs. It feels like we're playing a different game, and I know there's a pacifist way out of this fight but with the amount of damage they just throw at me I'm pretty sure I can't even win like that. Either your game was glitched, or mine is. But something definitely isn't right here! Did they patch the fight maybe? (if so, that patch was trash!)

This is a known bug to a few people, I have no idea if this was patched or not since this was recorded in the first version of the game, it probably has something to do with the save.
