Hot damn... Give it up for over four hours now! I am actually astounded that I have been vibing with it for that long. I guess that throws any doubt out of the way. This will definitely be my "LISA" song for 2021. That is to say, of course, they don't drop something else that I LOVE extremely.

This is beautifully melancholic. The new intro is stellar - it’s so...familiar, but in an odd way. To me, it feels like Alex is reflecting on a childhood he both finds nostalgic and wishes he could return to in a way (the slow, reverberating notes reminiscent of sitting in a sunbeam on a too-warm afternoon), but also one that holds a lot of pain and unpleasantness (the tonal shift about halfway through the song, to me, signals this. It’s like reliving a pleasant memory but then remembering something that sours the memory.) To me this song says “memories can be both precious and painful.” It’s a beautiful, human sentiment that I think anybody with a less-than-ideal childhood can relate to. I’m very excited to play this new version of the game myself. Your work is beautiful, and conveys the scene and tone of the MU intro in a nostalgic, bittersweet way. Sorry, I’m a bit of a sap, but I think this song is gorgeous, it’s masterful at setting tone and provoking an emotional response.

I've always wished this would happen, I love Painful, but I love Pointless such an unbelievable amount more I kind of wish it didn't have to be associated with it when it's doing 95% unique ideas, characters, themes, and, of course, everything else made for the game, I feel what's shown in the intro is vague enough that it could be deatched from the canon, but with similar ideas. That being said, I do not really mind that it is associated with LISA, it's just a bit weird to say when I'm a Pointless fan but not too much a Painful fan.

@@arrowtongue If you knew the full context of pointless's story, you'd know it's pretty much impossible for it to be untied from LISA without either ruining it or requiring huge rewrites and revisions.

@@cernunnos8917 I understand there would need to be huge revisions and that's why I know it'd never happen in reality, or, well, probably should ever happen, my point is more that I don't associate it with LISA that much in my head, as I am a fan of Pointless rather than LISA as a whole, if that makes sense, I don't think a split would be feasible this far into the development process. I do understand the full context of the game's story, though, that which is released within Chapter 1 and the MU's intro at least.
