Dear LisaGallegos, I need to train my mobility support dog out in public while I am in a wheelchair. I have done most of his training at home because I lack transportation. Next week NDIs is trying me out with an electric wheelchair an hoping to be more inependent. Hiccup has traing whith my manual wheelchair, my walker and cutches. He has been around town, in Bunnings and once in hospital to visit my dying husband. I have watched countless traing videos including wheelchairs and crutches. I would like to dryland wheelchair mushing. I have had former experience with former dogs when I could ride a bike and a scooter doing urban mushing. Being disabled I have support workers and sometimes they help, but NDIS wont helpe financially with dog training, so I have to learn to do it all myself. Im praying hard for my electric wheelchair. Do you have any advice, thankyou.
