I wanted to scream when the end of the video came around and you talked about how you felt guilty for giving us a bad deal because of the smaller budget. I just found your channel and I subscribed because my life is so stressful that sometimes I feel like im going to explode or internally combust. I live in a big city in England, UK. Sometimes I feel like im never going to see sights like this,. you are living my dream. You are making me feel like someone like me, living on a paramedics wage (peanuts in the uk especially when supporting my family) you make me think one day I might be able to see the world. Please don’t feel bad for that. I’d watch you if you had to eat plain rice and could only drive around your own country. It’s the vibe. The views and the freedom that makes me want to watch. It keeps me sane. So thank you. Maybe one day I’ll get my biggest wish and see the northern lights but if not, videos like this make me smile and feel cosy.

wow, thanks so much for sharing this and for your honesty. you are the person that we want to make these for!! we so hope that you get to see and experience the world--on your terms, on whatever budget you can, and that you get to see the northern lights too :) also thanks for what you do--can only imagine how stressful and challenging your days are ❤️ thanks for making the world a better place

Whilst I’ve missed you, I just love the longer movie length videos. Not only do you keep travel for most of us realistic ($$ are always an issue) your relaxed storytelling, humour ( ok… some not even subtle) is on point and your cinematography is awesome. Thankyou for the thoughtful way you take us along with you for the ride. Like hunting for a steak…. Iknow your next instalment of your exploration will taste even better for the wait ! Cheers🥰

I put this on in the background on and off while my husband and I were working from home today. By the first fifteen minutes we'd decided we never want to go to Iceland and were going to put on another video, but something kept us watching, and now we're looking up flights to Iceland XD I've never done a campervan holiday but watching you guys I said to my husband 'I want to be eating instant noodles in some beautiful middle of nowhere with you'. This video was so down to earth and cosy, well-paced, and showed so many wonderful sights along with the gritty reality of budget travel. It's a beautifully put together story - thank you for sharing!

We appreciate ya'll making content that is still relatable for us "regular folks". The gigantic RV rentals and expensive activities from the channel with 4 million subs just isn't our vibe. Edit: We rofl'd at "maybe it's maybelline, it's Iceland." You guys are too funny. Love the genuine vibes.

2:20- I saw the whole thing in parts. But the whole video. Loved it! Loved the homage to TLC and the unanswered question to traveling to Iceland on a budget. You didn’t miss anything and did what the locals do! Because, in reality, traveling is the journey and how you make it work! Your Return on experience was priceless.

Watching you both bounce around on a giant balloon at 1:12:29 made me realize why it’s so enjoyable to watch the both of you in your childlike wonder but as adults. it’s so nice to support this channel :) love your gratitude mindsets, while keeping and showing the real moments where life and travel can be frustrating. Overall, you’re both just two very kind souls and we love watching the both of you in your journey together ❤

After watching the entire documentary. It's not possible for any trip to be worth it if you don't have someone with you who supports you. Watching how you two interact is amazing. When you look for a great partner in life. You both are successful. I envy you I'm not gonna lie. To be able to share this or any journey with your best friend. How could you go wrong. If you was with anyone else. Even the northern lights would not have made a difference. Regardless of how many watch this video. The things you shared together. That's real life. The experiences you two can talk about when you're old. Watching the videos on whatever tech is happening then. You guys shared memories that no one can take from you. The excitement in both of your eyes. Not faking it. Doing real life. Congratulations on another journey together. Of course nothing is perfect. Bit it makes life so much better when your best friend has the same energy and supports one another. It's way past my bed time. But that's okay. It was worth it. Thank you for being authentic. It's rare. Walter

Hi Lisa and Josh, I have been a silent viewer. And your videos are truly inspiring. Sometimes, we need a change of scenery, new experiences, and challenges to gain a new perspective, learn more about ourselves-our strengths and opportunities to improve-and, more importantly, become a newer version of ourselves that is closer to the perfect version, however, shape or form you define it. And that is the beauty of travelling, in your case it need not to be expensive, what matter is the takeaway of each travel you both pursue. Well done! Keep on making these types of videos. 🙂

OMG, thank you for sharing. My wife and I love your videos and were hoping you would go to Iceland but, figured you might not due to your 100/per day budget. We did a 7 day trip in September; visited the south coast, golden circle and Reykjavik. While expensive, the beauty and experience was worth it. We rented a car (feel ya on the manual transmission) and did the Air BnB thing. We plan on going back, since we really didn't have enough time and will do either a camper or camper van. Probably something a little bigger given we are getting older and have plenty of aches and pains. We can't wait to see where your adventures take you to next. Happy Thanksgiving to you both!!!!

Cheers, Muffy from Australia.

This was a great video. Not all vacations include doing the most popular, expensive, instagram worthy things. When I was a kid, finding out we were going to go on vacation - I can't even describe how excited we got. We were so poor, we never went on vacation. Our parents took us to a literal shack built on a church's empty campground, and we stayed for ten days. The high point of the trip was driving to visit some friends in a nearby town, buying cheap pizza, and then going back to their house to play dominos and scrabble and eat the peanut butter chocolate cake the friends had prepared for us. Other than that, we kids ran around the grounds in over 100 degree heat, ate popsicles, played board games, read books and bonded as a siblings. There were spiders EVERYWHERE. There was no pool on the grounds, no place to swim. Eventually we hooked up a sprinkler head to a hose, and made do. All of us kids to this day still reminisce about that trip. Just because you can't afford a 1st class experience all the way, that doesn't mean you can't still go and have a wonderful time.
