BUDAPEST ON A BUDGET - Castle Hill, Westend, and preparing for the Camino de Santiago | Travel Vlog

We go ALL over Budapest today on a budget - from the Westend, across 2 bridges, up Castle Hill to Buda Castle, and do a bit of light shopping for our upcoming Camino de Santiago. We've realized after spending a day or two here that we really love how affordable Budapest is! We feel like we can actually eat out more than the not-at-all that we've been since we started the trip, and we can afford a real hotel here as well. It's really nice to be able to see all the sights of a place and not feel like we have to overly compromise, and be able to taste some of the food of the city outside of their supermarkets :)
One of the highlights from this video is definitely Lekso - super tasty local food, right in the heart of Budapest. A must do!
We talk a lot about the Camino in this one, and that's because it's quite heavy on our minds. We feel SUPER unprepared for it, even though we're supposed to be starting in just under 2 weeks. We think it will really be a good thing for us, but we're definitely also nervous to even attempt the 500 mile walk across northern Spain.

Mall food in Bangkok was one of the tastiest food I had while on Thailand! International food courts definitely different from U.S. mall food courts lol.

This was great. Josh’s step counts cracked me and my wife up. We were averaging 11-12 miles a day in Europe. Lost close to 10lbs. The best thing was when we hiked Meteora in Greece; we did it with ease. The walking was so good for our health. Love the video guys.

So good for our health too - I definitely feel like we've lost a bunch of weight. We can't ever find out how much because literally nowhere has a scale for us to weigh ourselves! Maybe that's why Europeans are happier :)

A free matcha green Boba tea was a reward for a person with a beautiful smile like you ,Lisa ! That's so.cool !! When you said reg.how the food court there was good ...you said of Cinese food & Mexican food & Thai food 1st lol.I was like then,that's the same as here in U.S. !!? Lol Then finally you mentioned Hungarian ,Austrian,Norwegian ! It all changed there !!! LOLLOLLOL 🤣😆👍👍😀💖💜🥁🐉🎤🎵🎶 Be careful with food court's dishes ,though !! As they're out there all day long & often with inappropriate temperatures & care ,so you can get food poisoning from there !! Stay safe ! 💕💞

If you know where to go there are amazing spots to visit. but yes chocolates, beer and fries are a MUST! oh travelling with the cat is fun... he's a real adventurer nowadays and today he came on a walk with us in Switzerland haha...
