Once again, Lisa goes against the trend of overdone face and heavy contouring to bring us what I believe real makeup should be : enhancement to our natural beauty. This light / no makeup makeup video is so useful and mostly SO REFRESHING! ♥ Thank you so much for sharing your amazing knowledge, Lisa. ♥

it looks like she's maybe done something subtle to it (her skin), maybe a little filler or lift? In older videos she has some fine lines around her eyes, little smile lines or the like but they have completely vanished in her newer videos. If she has done something to that effect I wouldn't expect her to say so, but it does look really lovely and natural if that's the case. It's not the overdone, "hollywood" or "desperate housewife" bloated look; it looks very flattering and lovely. If, however, it is all just skincare, massage, light therapy and sunscreen I will throw a fit of jealousy because damn girl, you lookin like a snack. A most elegant snack!

I agree with every word in your comment. After binge-watching several of Lisas videos some time ago I actually had a dream I met her and was just rambling on how much she taught me about makeup and how I loved her perspective on beauty and cosmetics. I did the mistake thou of asking her how she was… like "how are you nowadays?" She didn't like that at all… what followed was an awkward silence and then she ran away, and I had to take the stairs to a chimney… So, yeah, that was my sort of strange dream about meeting Lisa and chimneys I guess…

Thank you for noting thin layers. Instagram has so many accounts for which makeup application is akin to troweling on foundation and certainly concealer. I often wonder of these gurus on Instagram apply makeup in that manner when they're going to leave the house. I would love for young women who are just starting with makeup to subscribe to this channel so they can learn technique. Applying thick layers of makeup is incredibly aging.

After four years this one still among my top 3 makeup videos from you. I am wondering if in a remake situation, these days, with tones of others new products would still use those or are there better recommendations for brushes, powder, cream blush, mascara, etc? I've got an entire universe of gratitude to you. When I thought I'd never use makeup because, I kept seeing people wearing and watching videos of not suitable makeup for my personal style. Then it came that day that life kindly putted on my way a magazine on which there was reference to a Princess (to be) of Luxembourg, on her weeding day, your name was mentioned as her makeup artist. I could barely believe she was wearing any makeup at all, I was marvelled to have finally found out that such type of makeup actually existed. You'll forever be my number 1 reference in the universe of makeup.

I like the calmness and relaxed pace of this video (although it is a bit long for a tutorial). KZbin is full of attention grabbing thumbnails, overly happy and hyper people that love their subscribers 'more then they will ever know'' and more stuff I don't believe is real.

I loved the look! for me i think some Benefit products are really great for doing a “secret” makeup look..I use their lash primer in the color brown on my lashes and as a brow gel..and benetint on my cheeks and lips if my skin wasn’t at its best, I love using erborian cc cream..it comes out white and once you blend it with your fingers it takes the exact shade of your skin..plus it has SPF and works as a moisturizer..so win win!

I didn’t think we would ever get the sequel to your Master Class that was your original No-Makeup Makeup! This is my absolute favorite type of Lisa Eldridge video where I see the artistry at work. Even sped up I see the type of brush strokes and penciling to learn from and (attempt to) replicate for myself. - In this era of that ultra caked-on Instagram-style makeup its videos like this that are so refreshing proving less IS more. So much more. Lisa is truly the master. Thank you so much for this gorgeous video!

I started doing what Lisa does here after watching this, dotting lightly on section by section, then going over with a gorgeous Hourglass semi-kabuki brush for foundation.....it has made SUCH a huge difference to my appearance. Quality products applied with good technique is the key as you get older 😅.

DeShawn Hatcher I see you have one for brown skin so I'm going to check yours out! I hope Lisa does a version of this for brown skin too. I like seeing different artists' techniques. The hyperpigmentation we darker toned folks tend to get I feel is a bit more challenging to cover and still make look natural. I love seeing how the pros do it.

THIS is artistry and technique! I absolutely love it, and I am grateful Lisa that you went to deep into the details and posted a long video. It’s so refreshing, after being bombarded day in and day out with Instagram videos showing girls slathering their faces with absurd amounts of makeup, applied with no subtlety at all. I can see why you’re are the choice of the celebrities out there! I am in such awe and admiration!

OMG, this is my absolute all time favourite look!!! I just LOVE it! Editorial looks are fun to watch, but this is exactly how I'd like my everyday makeup to look. Thank you for getting into so much detail about skin and texture. It is incredibly useful! I also love the more creamy & liquid products for an even more natural finish. I sometimes use MAC wedge on my eyelids, which works great to create a subtle illusion of a shadow if you are rather pale (but not quite porcelain). I'm quite tempted to get all the products in this tutorial, which is seldom the case. But these I feel I could use on a daily basis. It's just such an amazing look

Just stunning. Oddly I find this kind of makeup look to be more effort. As Lisa says, the skill is really in the restraint. It’s so easy to over do it. So if I want to go for this “secret” no makeup look, I always make sure I have plenty of time so I don’t feel rushed. It’s quite the art.

This video is a life saver. I work as a security guard and I love makeup. I'm allowed to wear makeup so long as it's tame. That and I absolutely despise heavy looking foundation on my skin. If I can tell it's foundation, it's too much for me. This video just taught me how to use my makeup in a way that I am comfortable with and can enjoy on a daily basis. You literally just changed my life for the better. Thank you so much Lisa!!!

I loved this video. I feel like this is the look a lot of makeup artists go for (and sometimes go overboard!?!?) when doing natural looks on actors in movies where the character isn't supposed to have any makeup whatsoever. My biggest pet peeve in movies/tv is when an actress is supposed to have just climbed out of a lake or a torrential downpour and her hair has just -happened- to dry in artfully styled loose curls.

Lisa, you're so beautiful, brilliant and well-spoken. It is a pleasure to watch you, not only for the learning experience, but also because you have a soothing quality, as others have mentioned below, I believe that is really more of a natural gift than a skill, but I congratulate you because some people who do KZbin videos are difficult to watch, since, although they may have interesting information to share, their voice may be grating or their attitude irritating (overly loud, unrealistically cheerful, artificially dramatic, or, sometimes harsh). Kudos to you.

Tarren Pearson yes, I'm a Filipino, it's not regulated in the philippines, we use it like a toner 😊😉 but even with that, fading it is hard if it's caused by over exfoliation in the first place. so I'm scared to use it because i have seen people's skin turn puple-ish from using ut so much.

Oh no!! That's so scary. I used a cream called esoterica and had great results just applying it only on the area that was hyperpigmentation. But I'm pregnant now so i cannot use it and it did come back. It's on my upper lip too so i feel so ugly :(

Tarren Pearson it is a pain. i wish i don't have to wear foundation or concealer because i don't like stuff in my pores. i have seen people swear by aloe vera, the plant itself, but i hate the process of extracting the gel from the leaf, so I never stuck to it. i am using ambi right now, it has hydroq but not strong enough, but i give it a break every 2 weeks. and lots and lots of sunscreen.
