I'm 24 and always wondered why red and dark lipsticks made me look decades older. You made me realize I've accidentally been making my lips downturned with lip pencil my whole life! I tried it this way and it works perfectly, I can literally wear any shade now, don't have to stick to boring light nudes anymore (which are nice, but it gets stale after a while). I can't believe I'm discovering this just now!! Thank you so much!!!

I used to avoid wearing a lipstick for this very reason for several years. Every time I went to a shop to finally buy a nice shade of lipstick I ended up in frustration because no matter what shade I tried it would turn me into an angry 50 year old woman (although that time I was in my late teens). And only a year ago after experimenting with shape I finally figured out that it's shape that truly matters not colour. So I can definitely admit that this tip is super helpful 🔥

Then you used the lipstick as blush & I was hopelessly crying as she did the same thing mixed with a bit of moisturizer. My mother was a beautiful woman and only did her brows, wore a bit of mascara, blush and red lipstick. She was often said to look like Maureen O'Hara with her Reddish Brown hair and leaf green eyes. I thank you for the wonderful tip as my lips with gravity have started turning down bringing me to this helpful tutorial. Genius. I've done this, what a huge difference it makes, thank you so much!!! I'm not sure I understood about the concealer, tho', it didn't look like you were covering any part of your lip, but next to your lip on your face...

This is great! I'm happy to say that I've been applying my lipstick like this for a couple years. After watching a body type video by Aly Art, I realized that overdrawing and trying to create plump, luscious lips actually clashed with the rest of my features. I started to make my lips sharper by doing exactly what you demonstrated and the result was so transformative. My lips were now in harmony with my other features and looked so much better 💜💄

I know that very well, people always think that I'm sad or angry and ask what's wrong and it's just my lips! Tomorrow morning I'll practice with Lisa to fix that a little bit! :)

I definitely have downturned corners and knew intuitively I needed to make a change. I’ve been careful for years not to make myself look unhappy by smiling more. But, now you’ve given me tips on how to draw my lips in a positive way.

Thank you, Lisa! I have had days when my lips looked better and I tried really hard to replicate it the next day. By trying really hard to cover my full lip, I ended up with a less appealing look. Now I know why. I have learned to replicate that attractive look. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Thank you SO much for this! I’ve always worn red lipstick but as I get older and gravity takes its toll my mouth seems to get smaller and the corners droopier. I’ve tried to counter this by extending colour over the corner lines and have noticed I’m beginning to look like a sad clown. I tried your technique yesterday and cannot believe how much happier (and therefore younger!) the effect is. Absolutely delighted with the improvement. ❤️
