Oh yes, Lisa Frank. Fun stuff. I had an inch wide notebook that had a flap around it so no papers would fall out and you could keep pens on the inside. Maybe called Trapper Keeper? Fun subject matter. I love what you did. Crazy colorful and cute,

OOOOO Shel I just love this piece. It reminds me of scratch art.....lots of color on layer one, black on layer two, then scratch black away to leave the color underneath showing. I loved Lisa Frank when I was a kid. I had a ton of stationary supplies with her art of them. It's where I learned to love stationary supplies :-) I love your characters. They are colorful and lively. So cute! On a completely different note I had a question about the Pentel mechanical pencil you love so much. I've started drawing more lately and was wondering why that particular mechanical pencil was so special. I have 2 mechanical pencils, 5 & 7mm & they are fine. I don't dislike them but I don't love them either. So just wondering why you love your mechanical pencil.

Thank you Ash :) I loved Lisa Frank stuff too. I had folders and a pencil case and sharpener. The pencil I use fits my hand really well, it doesn't slip or break, and even though I use soft graphite in it..the lead rarely breaks. I am sure the mechanical pencils you have are fine as well. Perhaps you just prefer a woodie one :)

I'm using soft graphite in mine to and it doesn't break. They are fine to use. I just wanted to know why you love yours, whether it was mechanical pencils in general or that particular one out of a bunch you've tried. I've been trying both the regular drawing pencils & the mechanical ones. Don't really have a preference unless its shading a large area. Then my preference is the wood ones. Thank you for your reply. Hi Lori :) Yes, if you use fluid matte medium to blend your gelatos then it seals it and becomes a permanent layer instead of continuing to be water soluble.
