I've heard an enterview with André Matos about this song once. He sayied they used an lusitan or portuguese mode on the intro to keep the tension, thats why the tempo is so weird on the intro and on the guitar solo midsong, its almoust like if there is one note missing, and then they give you rest when the tempo change for the lirics parts and the song goes for an simple Am tone on a 4/4 tempo i believe. I dont know If the theme of the song came before the choice of doing this portuguese mode or if It was the portugese mode that give the song its title, but still it was a good choice and an good composition even if it sounds a very straight foward song att first.
