Excellent work! Lot's of exquisite imagery, the azulejos, the reflections no Rossio and Praça do Comércio, in particular. The reflection of the arriving long tram, on the water logged calçada was a gem.

How such a delicate, richly informative cinematic history tour of Lisbon only receives 15k views is beyond me. But please continue with your brilliant work, cuz for me it's simply the best tour guide for Lisbon one can find currently on the internet. Top-notch narration with a hearty way of editing to match. Thank you and huge respect!

Lisboa is a beautiful city, with rich history. A side note - during the 1755 Earthquake much of the City which was Riverside was of course devastated - along with this, was the destruction of building which were holding a significant amount of the Portuguese Historical Maps etc. Which may well have been the greatest treasure that Portugal had garnered. The information contained was in the hands of the Portuguese Only. It was confirmation of the discoveries in the East, some of which is not credited to this very day. I’m glad you did highlight the Tower of Belem and the Monument to Infante Dom Henrique and the Discobradors, perhaps the Geronimo’s Monastery could have been shown. Thanks for your work on this Video. The Portuguese Wallaby Down Under Now on top.

Thanks for your kind eyes! Just to add one more characteristic of Lisbon: The light. With a wide estuary South reflecting the sun light, Azulejos and white cobble stones in the pavement do the rest. There is a lot of reflected light coming from below and the sides. In the winter is even brighter since the sun runs lower and the reflexion is less vertical.

Oh wow, that is really interesting, I hadn’t heard that but it makes sense, things do seem to glow when the sun shines right. Thanks!

In the north of Portugal, where we in Minho built Portugal, the word "azulejos" means blue (azul) and this go much before the Arabs period. In fact the oldest chapels from the Braga Swabians times already had blue azulejos in the walls and they represented the most "hard" moments in the life of the saints.

No. The twin bridge of 25 de abril is the Oakland Bay bridge (which is much bigger). That's the one build by the same company. The similarity with Golden Gate it's only the color.

12:00 - Pastéis de Nata and Pastéis de Belém are not the same thing. The first are based on a generic recipe that everyone follows with little differences here and there, while the latter are based on an exclusive, unique and secret recipe and are only sold in the factory's shop in Belém. 12:30 - Those are not trams, they're elevators.
