Thanks Michelle. I'm curious to know: seeing you work mostly in the community setting, are there any books you reference a lot?

Thank you for making the recent videos. As a dietetics student to be, I really appreciate it. I'll check out the first book, it seems to be a proper one for new dietetics students

Thank you for this video. You really inspire me to study for my licensure exam. 😍 my holy grail is The Krauses' 11th edition. Got it with 60% student discount.

Thanks! I needed this! I'm about halfway into my supervised practice hours and lost my books over the years. The management one I definitely needed. I used that in school too. And I used the AND's assessment book regularly for long-term care, as recommended by my preceptor there. As for those other books, I will be ordering them soon. I'll take help anywhere I can get it. I looked into getting the Nutrition Care Manual and I'm still debating it. The price is hefty. I'll be starting my clinical rotation in another month, so I want to be prepared.

As a registered dietitian, did the schooling provide you with any information that you never knew or was most of the material covered pretty common sense? Also, what does the training and schooling actually teach?
@KimRoseDietitian7 жыл бұрын
Yes the schools provided me with info I never heard of. I initially thought that everything would be common sense, but boy was I wrong. For me the most difficult part was learning medical nutrition therapy for the different diseases states. Each school teaches differently; I'm curious to know...are you interested in becoming a dietitian?
@AllAmericanGuy017 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. Being a dietitian was something I thought I could do as a side job (being a coach) until I realized the requirements to become certified. It's not that the requirements are hard, it's the fact that I already have a career where I'm working about 40+ hours every week. Doing the clinicals and classes wouldn't have worked for me...Unless there's a school that allows you to take online courses and works with my schedule....?
@KimRoseDietitian7 жыл бұрын
Oh ok I see. Thanks for further clarifying. There is no online internship at this time and yes you are correct, the internship is basically a FT job. It's a beast.
