Thanks so much Alpha English. For me, part of the magic is that we don't need to understand every single word to feel Shakespeare. He is so universal. IS.

Beautifully done. His poetry is so timeless you did a wonderful job of reciting...

This is a very good recording of the Sonnets. The type of music and its low volume does not interfere with the words. I recognize your voice from another recording. Being able to read the sonnets as you recite them is a plus. I have noticed some exceptional differences between the text and what you say. Just some words. Are you aware of it? Thank you so much. Your voice is very beautiful and you read with understanding.

I almost don't hear a linebreak. The reader reads like he is in a brawl fighting with words. Too fast😂. I wonder why is that? Nothing lingers in my mind after hearing none registered actually.

There is no line break in reading as it is still in the same sentence. There is only full stop (".") break.

True. I didn't even think about it. After every few words I had no idea what had been said.

It’s just because you’re not listening you are hearing but you’re not listening I understand do you

I prefer a steadier tempo too. But this is the standard speed, pretty much, one that doesn't allow deeper meaning to settle through the sounds. The standard, I think, is also nearly metronomic, preventing slower and faster variation, within and between sonnets, for changing moods, images and, especially, acrobatic word-juggling. For me, it reduces bejewelled poetry to pewter prose, unable to match the marvellous with its own marvels. I also prefer original pronunciation where all the rhymes sound right! Night now.

I found it was ruined by the dinky-dinky sounds in the background. Are they there because it is felt we might get bored with just the words?
