I agree, unless the bike is full of mud. I always wipe down my bike after each ride. All I use is a bucket of water filled with a bit of gentle dishwasher detergent, a sponge and a toothbrush for hard to reach spots. I clean the cassette and chain every month or so too.

@@dctPL How do you think it will remove lubricants from the bearings?First of all they are hidden, so no direct contact with high pressure water. Second it is sealed and third it is full of water repellent grease. Even if a small water droplet enters the bearing it does nothing.

Wouldn’t use a pressure washer, just a gentle nozzle spray otherwise water will get into the bearings. But the bigger question is, why isn’t your pool boy doing this? 😂😂😂

Using a pressure washer on a bicycle like that is not a good idea. It's probably a worse idea on a very expensive bike like that one. There's no need for it, it's a ton of overkill and all it does is drive water into places where you don't want it.

I don't think using power washer good idea. Maybe frame only. If done on rear cassette and bottom bracket. Water can seep in and rust eventually unless all bearings sealed. Probably better to rinse with wet cloth.
