Is nice to have dreams and be positive but is wrong to throw reality out the window too. Positivity like dreams should be based on reality not the other way around. There is NO such thing as Anything is possible. Any adult and elder knows that. Is good to have dreams and be positive while at the same time realistic.

Amazing thoughts! Really unique and relevant. I am forty years now. I have made a career change from athlete to IT world at the age of 35. Never get into a comfort zone. That is a core principle for me. I started to train athletics running without shoes and went to 2 Olympic Games. The Brazilian record I set still remains. My first IT job? IBM. Second and current, the biggest Digital Wallet in Brazil. None of these achievements was done without sacrifice. I just keep pushing things forward. Always. By the way, I am right in the middle. Not introverted, not extroverted. I can transit between them any moment I feel good or need.

Jordan wants you to believe that if you make your life over in his image ... you will succeed. Others disagree. “I was Jordan Peterson’s strongest supporter. Now I think he’s dangerous. If you’re younger than 40 this could be motivating. If you’re older it can be the opposite BUT regardless of certain proven realities we all have the potential to change even if it gets harder as we get older. Mindset is important. I have had a number of careers and never felt like I specialised but the common thread through it all is my drive to understand the challenges and drive contextually relevant solutions, whether I was in the military, in IT ops, Cyber Sec, construction, Sales, etc etc. Keeping looking for ways to help others solve problems, learn what’s required to be credible, authentic, useful and always focus on outcomes, bring people along and the rest will follow. I’m sure by now you’ve figured out which end of the spectrum I’m on and still going strong. 😉

@@Samialexchak Agreed. It’s interesting how how our subjective framing can impact interpretation? Useful doesn’t always mean a cog in a machine; or the man’s machine. Unless you’re a hermit, you can be useful by being helpful to others; maybe I could have used the word helpful instead.

Okay, I have a question about this. I was very extraverted for a long time, but as puberty kicked in I became very sensitive and I experienced a lot of bullying, which later developed into BPD. Now I still feel that deep down I'm extraverted, but I'm just too anxious and overwhelmed and hopeless to go out and I smetimes don't even know who I am anymore. So has my trait changed or am I still an extravert who's become increasingly used to suffering from being alone?

To live without being affected by this truth of life, comes easily to us, at least in the early years and such ignorance is blissful, as otherwise we will lead a life full of stress and ambiguity, with no eagerness, interest, hope or meaning. As otherwise everything that comes up before us, be it an opportunity or chance, will incite only one feeling - what’s the point? It won’t last. A lot depends on, how we view this unchanging reality of life. Some believe it makes our life hopeless, and some think it’s the same thing that makes it magical. Nothing lasts, but it also means nothing remains. If we think deeply, it may mean many things - Nothing remains, everything changes, everything transforms or evolves, pain ends and pleasure returns, so on and so forth

I feel like most of my life I've been told that being extroverted isn't hip or cool. Almost as if it's a bad thing. Weird... I've always enjoyed just playing video games by myself but I'm an only child so maybe that has something to do with it. I'm not very social unless I'm making others laugh or making fun of myself. I'm trying to be more true to who I am now a days. Maybe I am more extroverted... It's really hard to tell!! I was 70% on peterson's big 5 test but I feel like some of that test was wrong and i was taking almost as if I was taking it for my father.. LOL

I tend to believe that my life does last forever, just not in this body. If I'm right, I've got all the time in the world. If I'm wrong, then its all pointless anyway so who cares. Nothing you achieve here will mean anything after you are dead. You can't make the world a better place. People have been trying for ten thousand plus years and other than impressive toys, people are still the savage monkeys they always were. Almost all human suffering is the direct result of humans trying to end human suffering. Enjoy life, don't blow your existence on trying to contribute to meaningless striving, unless you truly enjoy it for its own sake

No farmers, no one is dirty, no one stuck in city traffic, no one shopping or working in a packed store with crying kids, no grime and grit, the weather is always nice, and no overweight people. Mostly people working high tech urban jobs, hiking, well dressed, space to themselves...the suburbia big city fantasy.
