Ugandans have food because Uganda was naturally blessed with very fertile land. Museveni did not make Uganda's land fertile. As a matter of fact if Uganda had a good president Uganda's agricultural sector would be very advanced to a point that Uganda exports food all over the world. Uganda has always had food. British got some of their food to feed their troops in worlds from Uganda. The reason you can't survive a day in Kenya on $1 is partly because Kenya is more developed. To build good infrastructure you have to collect taxes, to have good schools you have to collect taxes, to pay the police and the military a decent wage you have to collect taxes. That's what the US and many develop nations do. The reason the Congolese are having problems with the Kagame, Museveni and the Tutsi invaders is because they did not build a strong military to protect their country. The Congolese politician have been corrupt and feeding their pockets and now the local Congolese people are losing their wealth to the tutsi invaders. If you live in developed country and get well educated you will learn how a well developed system is built and what it takes to build it. We as Africans have been used to live in a very local way. But the world is changing. The economics change with increasing population. Read about Malthus.
