Unfortunately, many of us are in denial about our favorite megachurche pastors and gospel entertainers' private lives. God is not in these churches. Hence, the state of black churches, it's prosperity over salvation.

But to be out here tricking is even more dangerous. When he left his door unlocked for the trick, he could've gotten killed. We know they both tried robbing him - he is putting his life in danger. If he comes out, he wouldn't need to trick anymore.

To be fair, I don't think he ever denied that he was gay. He has done interviews about it, I think that he believes he is in the "pray the gay away" ideology and it isn't working for him and THAT is where is lying to himself. I actually like his music. He is definitely lonely and struggling. I pray God leads him to what He has for him.

It depends on what you mean by support. I don't listen to his sermons. If his music comes on the radio, I may listen to it. I support his right to live how he chooses to live it. Even if he lives it behind close doors. So many people who I grew up admiring on TV/movies, have now come out to be something other than what I thought they were. Honestly, we just don't know about people's true lives. I'm no longer surprised about any news that come out at this point. I can't lose sleep over it. Just exhausting!

We couldn't listen to anybody if we held all music artist to a moral standard, we really couldn't listen to anyone, because even with all we know via social media there's still so much we don't know about many of them. However, in the religious sect, especially in leadership, we should expect a level of authenticity and morality

If you are struggling this long with that addiction, then that means you don't want to give it up. You see it as a lifestyle akin to breathing. The thing is the uncovering will be detrimental for him. God gives you time to address your sin and your issues. There is a lot that God covered in my life, and I'm thankful to the Lord that He covered those sins. Heartbreaking.

Donnie is afraid of the backlash. He’d have a lot of explaining to do. He’s been making suspect moves for decades. Nicole was his temporary cover up. He’s too old to not be living his best authentic life. He has a lot of excuses, but no reasons. He needs to tell his story , before others do. It’s already a mess. It’s gonna get messy.

I TOTALLY understand when you say you didn't care about his music or Janet's music (even though I LOVE both of their music). Everyone LOVES Mary J Blige & Luther Vandross, however I was never a fan of either. I think Luther had a nice voice but it didn't appeal to me but I don't even think Mary can sing. Everyone is not going to like the same thing.

Donnie is very unproblematic, and I just don’t understand why people just don’t enjoy his music for what it is. Why do we care about his sexuality? He owes us absolutely nothing! His relationship is between him and God. We should be worrying about the word, and not what someone is doing in their personal lives. We are not God! 2024 and we still talking about Donnie’s sexuality 🤦🏽‍♀️

Can we use Luther Vandross as a prime example of this topic? Back in the day he was titled as putting the human population on an all new high with his music but it was never confirmed of his preference. He sang his music like a man very much in love with a woman. I have to admit it’s like we give a pass with no admission. Maybe it’s me or is this different?

How sad that he is unable to live his life truthfully. The only person that he is deceiving is himself. I think she is missing out on the life God really has for him because he won’t live in his truth. He is 64 years old and steel lying about who he is all that time wasted.

I believe that when you are singing for or about Our Savior, you need to at the very least be trying to follow His commandments. Yes, we can struggle with sin, we can ask God to forgive us and repent of that sin, but, we have to try and when you feel tempted you reach out to Him at that moment. I don’t judge anyone who falls into temptation but come on guys, you have to fight the devil and use your prayers as your armor.
