Yep, I reckon you made the right decision getting mono, for exactly the reason you described. Most regard the mono mix as the “real” mix that The Beatles approved at the time.

Just checked my 2 original mono UK Peppers and one of mine isn't on the discogs list, that list is always being added to when people let them know as it's not definitive. The main thing is you have a definite original first pressing as long as it has the XEX-637/638-1 matrix. You were right to get the mono btw
