Just imagine..., yourself, standing on top of the mountain, feeling a slight chill from the wind yet pleasant warmth from the sun, above the misty mountain tops just at the horizon. Your mind empty, your body tired but light and relaxed, you breathe in the fresh cleansing air and breathe out whilst relieving your mind, body and soul of every negative heavy lingering thing that's been bothering you daily. It all seems so pointless all of a sudden. You wonder why you have stressed yourself so much over such meaningless things. You look up to the sky and feel thankful. You smile, look at the beautiful nature and quietly, without much though, say to yourself,... life Is beautiful . With wet eyes, smile on your face, lifted soul and cleared out mind, you decide, from now on, that you will live your life how it should be lived. With a warm heart, gentle soul, positive spirit and a calm approach, not stressing about negative things, not getting mad at people fighting you, not judging yourself any more nor letting other dictate what is right and wrong,.. because You Are Human. You are one soul, and, if anything, you have the right to live this life nicely, the way you see fit, calmly, trying to be better bit by bit, seeing beauty in all, enjoying all the thing it provides, big and small,.. this road we shall take, nice and slow. Go through good and bad. Stay a shining light, a sun in between clouds, happily making our journey more pleasant moment by moment. So, once our test is over, we may be granted eternal bliss we set out to prove worthy of and feel happy with our loved ones forever.

The Universal Library -It came to me in a dream. The Universal truth.- -As if time lost all meaning, and life itself was fleeting- -I looked around whilst scheming, hoping against hope- -The most Ancient Dream- -The Universe materialized- -Within the halls of this Library- -Reality decides itself- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I lived a life as normal as can be. I suffered, I lied, and eventually I died. That was putting it as simply as possible really. I died. I was dead. Or well, at least that is what we refer to the loss of the human body as. But the soul never dies. The memories are never gone. The emotions are never truly lost. The life that was lived fades not into dust but instead into the form of a book. A book in this infinite library that makes up the Universe. You can read everything about anything or anyone within this place. You can even rewrite the books if you wanted to. Any of them. These books are stories. These books are truth itself. These books are reality. These books are laws. I had the fortune, if you can call it that, to be awoken as a wanderer of the most Ancient Dream. This is not such a simple place though. And it doesn’t just choose anyone. It picks people that it finds interesting and lets us wander the library. For fun maybe. The library seems to have a conscious mind. Mostly though, I just read the stories rather than change them. No matter how tragic a story it seems unfair to change what has already happened. Or at least that’s how I felt until I saw a story that was millions of years in the future, ahead of when I died. I realized then that this is a place unaffected by time. Perhaps this was before the Universe existed. Perhaps this Library is God. Perhaps us librarians are shaping the Universe that has yet to have been truly born. Perhaps...or maybe not. There seems to be millions of librarians and yet you almost never see them. Maybe once every thousand years or so. And when you do encounter each other there is a sense of fear. “How long have they been here?” It seems to attack your mind and you drift away from each other. I can’t really tell how long I have been here though. After a long time you seem to forget you are, or were, a human. Your sense of self fades and you lose your purpose. It happens more and more often nowadays. I sometimes blink and find that years have passed whilst I was doing nothing. Even with all these stories one gets bored eventually. It took me around three thousand years to figure out that I could summon the books with my mind. I don’t fully understand it but it seems like some part of me is fully aware of this infinite library and the infinite stories contained within it. One thing I found is that stories are not independent existences. If a story exists a similar story with a slight variation certainly exists as well. And stories are built off each other. As if all stories stem from one single story, one single book. Millions upon billions of stories with parallel universes and intergalactic warfare and everything you can imagine. Fiction or nonfiction? There is no difference within the Universal Library as all is possible and all has been done. Eventually though I found something special. I was simply thinking about how all stories must come from one single stem story. Thinking that this library itself must have been created from a story when it appeared. A worn down book. It appeared in my hands as if I summoned it from somewhere within the Universal Library. I knew then that I was right. That I held within my hands the key to infinity itself. The story of stories. The truth of truths. I held the everything that made the nothing that made the everything. I had been here for around thirteen billion years. Reading, editing, and wandering. Never once had I spoken to another wanderer of the library. Never once had I truly understood why I was here. Until now. And as I opened that book I was anxious. Would it hold the key to all the unanswered questions? Would it explain time? Would it explain reality? Life? God? And there it was. The answer to everything. And yet it was nothing. There were simply two words and a place for an answer to be imputed. The words were. “Reality is…”. And that was that. That was the first book. The first story. The variable that caused everything. And in that moment my human life flashed before my eyes. My first love. My hopes. My friends. My worries. The innumerable questions that I thought of day in and day out. And then my final day lying in a hospital bed, alone. Still thinking. Still wandering. I never got a single answer to any of my questions. I wasted my life. But now. After all this time I could create the answer and whatever I wrote would be the truth. And a million ideas flowed through my head. I would end suffering. I would destroy this damned library. I would become God. I would freeze time. I would...this...I would...that. But after around 10 minutes I had already come to a conclusion. I would do none of that. For the answer was already there. So obviously so. It was two words. Two simple words. That explained the reason I was here as a wanderer and the dead were contained within their stories. It was because they knew. They knew that there was no absolute answer. No absolute truth. They knew that, and lived without worrying about all of that nonsense. They freed themselves from this suffering because they were capable of such a simple thought. It was hilarious really. I, and all these wanderers were the overthinkers of reality. Not wanderers, but instead, wanderers. Not journeying the Library but instead the countless stories. Lost, in a maze of thoughts and ideas searching for a complicated truth. When really it was as simple as two words. I closed the book. And it vanished. I smiled for some reason. And then I saw it. My own book. A book I had been unable to summon. To read. A tale of wasted life. Where I worried rather than lived. And I rewrote that story. Did I rewrite the whole thing? No. I rewrote a single sentence. The first time I asked what the point was. What reality was. I said, to my own mind, reality is...everything and nothing. So worry not about such a thing. Instead live your life. And so, even though I rewrote only a single sentence. My entire story changed. And I felt myself being absorbed into that book. My soul was finally allowed to rest. And I felt then a million eyes looking at me. I didn’t know who they were, but I felt that they too had held the root book within their hands. And that they too had found what they were looking for. And then I fell asleep. An eternal rest. An acceptable end if you will. And somewhere within the infinite library a new librarian was born. He laughed and ran and laughed some more. He has died and yet he was here. He was chosen. He grabbed a book and skimmed through it. It was a boring tale. All too common. Overly happy. There was only a single point where it seemed like it would be interesting. The character had started to think deeply about reality much like the boy who was reading. But he found an answer within seconds. And the boy felt strange. How can he find peace with such a thing? So quickly? When I had worried about that stuff for my entire life? He felt strange. But a little happy as well. And he put the book back. And then he wandered. He read. And read some more. Until he too found the answer 8 billion years later. And so the cycle continued. And odd existence this library was. A place that let all find peace in the end. And maybe one day someone would be selfish and write what they believe to be the ideal reality within that book. And maybe someday the Universe would halt along with the Universal Library being destroyed. And maybe someday this or that.. After all… reality is… -And it came to me in a dream- -A place oh so serene- -The halls so full of stories- -It seems to seize all worries- -The most Ancient Dream- -The Graveyard of Eternity- -The Universal Library- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And if ever there came a time When man forgets death and lives a free life Reality will be as it was meant to be As the Library meant it to be -ShiroKai(Me)

@@lonearachnid6591 I wanted to write a short story of sorts. And so I did, I wrote it in google doc and copy pasted it here that's why it is a little odd. It was rushed on purpose. So as to not force myself into a situation where I cannot progress or finish. I ended up writing 4 others parts though. Each around the same length. I suppose I was trying to have a truer end of sorts. I shall pay the names of the other parts here. They are too long to copy paste in a YT comment. The Universal Library(1) The Graveyard of Stories (2) The most Ancient Dream(3) The Vault of Judgment (4) Infinite Stories for Eternity (5) The truth is that the location is actually taken from a story I have dreamed about every night. A story too long to ever fully write so do believe. But at the very least I wanted to try to write a story about the Universal Library. And if ever there came a time When man forgets death and lives a free life Reality will be as it was meant to be As the library meant it to be And if ever there came a time When man forsakes Truth and embarks on a fruitless journey Reality will be kind to them As the Graveyard isn't the point of no return And if ever there came a time When man reached the second door Eternity awaits them, but not eternity without salvation As the most Ancient Dream holds the truth of truths And if ever there came a time When man finds the arbiter of the Library The library's days shall be numbered For the Vault holds the key to Change And if ever there came time when the library contains the infinite truth - rather than a false truth Time will regain the meaning it lost And stories shall never be forgotten And if ever there came a time When time ceases to exist The memories will be forgotten The stories will be lost And yet *All would be satisfied* *All would be pleased* "Eternity was not meant to be, nothing was meant to be." Each if those is from a section of the story I suppose. The base story is a story of Gods and wars and infinite time and suffering. To put it simply at least.

Hey, first of all, I want to thank you for all the work you put in for this channel and I wish you only good things. Secondly, I would like to suggest you to try to gather songs from other fields of post-rock, I don't know if I will understand myself very well, English is not my native language and I don't have a very developed musical vocabulary, but I mean that most of the songs on the channel are "pure post-rock," if I could say so, and I say you could try, if you'd like, to make a playlist of songs from the beginnings of post-rock, when it wasn't a stand-alone genre, or post-rock with hardcore and post-hardcore influences, with vocals, not just based on atmosphere ... Peace
@jasmine_mmtz4 жыл бұрын
I really like this idea, though I also really love the "atmospheric" nature of post-rock genre. Without vocal, the interpretation of the song is almost entirely up to us, and that's what I like about it. But I agree that it'd be nice to explore something the other person said for a fresh wind once in awhile. P.S. I think a hardcore post-rock would be a really nice compilation of angry/desperate atmosphere
@dragosfantoma13964 жыл бұрын
@@jasmine_mmtz thanks for the support :) I understand what you mean about the interpretation of the song, but I have always had a pleasure for music with vocals from the simple fact that I consider the human voice the best instrument, that's why I appreciate that such creations use cryptic , hermetic, obscure lyrics , to be somewhat connected on the instrumental side but more to complement each other than to overlap. As for the idea of hardcore, both this and the one about vocals were transmitted to me by Spiderland, the album that changed my life. That's why I made this proposal, because I noticed that among the founders of post-rock, Slint tended to be inspired by hardcore and post-hardcore, while other bands were rather detached from synth-pop, art and progressive-rock, new wave, u know. And my proposal is based more on the classic definition of post-rock as "rock characterized by a focus on exploring textures and timbre over traditional rock song structures, chords, or riffs"(Wikipedia). I'm attracted to the idea of the atmosphere, of course, but I'm more attracted to the idea of the avant-garde and and to express the inexpressible :)

A. Morphous, Exactly right! And it will be that way a LONG time after all of us are gone. And as individuals we would be wise to fix and or tolerate the bad and enjoy the beauty.

tomorrow is election day in the US. The tension is high and everyone is getting prepared for the worst. The future of this country depends on the outcome of this election. No matter what the future holds, I hope everyone will come together and fight for justice and liberty for all.

@perhaps50954 жыл бұрын
I'm quite uncertain what we can do to move forward in these uncertain times. It feels as though time has virtually stopped. Everything happening so fast, faster than we want it to, and faster than we want to comprehend it. In these uncertain times many of us look to the virtual world as a means for escape more now than ever. Reality is not something we wish to face anymore. Through virtual means we all feel equal, making the challenges presented there feel achievable by anyone who wants to. Its just as hard as reality, but seemingly, virtually more rewarding.

Let me counter this with a new question: Have there ever been times more uncertain than these?
@shirori20044 жыл бұрын
@@YELLERHEAD yes. All throughout time itself nothing has ever been certain you see. We maybe think that nothing is certain cuz stuff is going badly now but think back to the cavemen who knew nothing. Think back to the Universe in it's infancy where it knew nothing. Nothing knows anything really. And so just cause you think that now is the most uncertain, it doesn't make it even remotely true.

Kinda sad to see that some of these comments are refering to the pandemic. We could be lucky about the fact that humanity got through this but now we have a war in Europe, not too far from where I live and another war just a little further ahead.
