By request… sometimes, you may get a delay between the video and audio feed. Switching off the CarPlay or Android Auto and just using the phone as a media player should do the trick

Idk why everyone always wants to point out you shouldn’t be doing that. There’s lots of reasons. Kids watching, parked on lunch and want to watch TV, waiting to pick someone up. Etc.

It’s not just the audio/visual delay; if you hit pause or rewind 10 seconds there’s a delay there too. That’s more of an issue

Nice work my man! Fixed the lag. There are many reasons to watch videos in the car. IMO there is no excuse for audio and video to be out of sync…

OK so I called one dealership and they told me it’s normal for Bluetooth. However I had two cars previously without this huge delay. I called a second dealership and he suggested turning off CarPlay, while leaving Bluetooth on, which worked!🤩The delay is no longer ~2 seconds, it’s more like 0.5 seconds now which is excellent!

They really just need to fix this stupid wireless Apple CarPlay. I think it’s a Honda issue because my friend has a Honda HR-V with wired CarPlay and no lag. My other friend has a ford raptor with wireless CarPlay and no lag either. This shits so annoying

Why the heck didn’t he say how he got to that screen? I’ve been spending 10 minutes here trying to figure out what that screen is, is it settings? Definitely not a good tutorial, everything else was good but I still can’t actually fix this problem unless I know where to go specifically.

This video is misleading. At least to me it implies it's possible to do while car play is on. I already knew that you can simply run it through the Bluetooth built into the car. The problem is while carplay is active. Fix your title it's clickbait

I watch KZbin in my truck all the time, when my wife is in the store and I order to not go in. There are many times you can have such video media in your vehicle and still be responsible with it. Instead of jumping to one conclusion, think 1st about other situations that are endangering anyone else in the vehicle, including the driver.

I have an aftermarket pioneer NEX on my tundra and Apple car play with ZERO lag. Now my new truck is a GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate with Bose sound system and with Apple car play or using my mid’s galaxy s21 there’s still a delay. Point blank: it’s not your phones, it’s the vehicle. These asswipe car manufacturers can’t get even the basics right.

Why when I’m listen to the radio or xm. If I go to another app, the car will switch to Bluetooth on the phone. Sometimes once I’m out of the app the music will come back on. Other times it will not and it will not.

I use bluetooth and theres roughly a 2 second delay in both vehicles when watching a video on lunch so i just give up and use my phone speakers.

It's working but disconnects your CarPlay. You cannot use your CarPlay navigation.

That’s correct. CarPlay didn’t allow video format in their system. This is a work around so you can at least hear the audio without delay

@@michalklucz6907 the solution is to use apps that are compatible with CarPlay. Since that rules out KZbin, the work around is to either live with a delay or turn off CarPlay

@@michalklucz6907 Apple has lots of info on this or Google it. Essentially, anything with a video component, games and things that could distract a driver isn’t going to show up in CarPlay

@@TrainerSteveClifford you are missing the point. there is no need for app to be visible in apple car play menu to be 'compatible' with apple carPlay. the apple car play is responsible for tethering ANY sound generated by the phone to the car audio. you don't have to sign some digital certificate or pass apple test to get it. Apple IS capable of detecting if car is in motion and block touch screen input not to distract the driver, it works in multiple apps (like maps). The issue is because of this 'feature' you cant watch YT on car audio while charging or waiting for a take-away. and your 'solution' just eliminate all benefits of having siri accessible from your steering wheel. This is a bug, not a feature.

GM and Chevy are pathetic. It’s ALL their vehicles. Well at least in my dad’s C8 corvette and my Sierra 3500. Bluetooth works fine but when you either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, there is a nasty 2 second audio lag. My previous Tundra never did this. Holy shit it only Toyota made HD trucks, they’d put these other clown truck manufacturers out of business, easy.

Swallow your safety concerns 😂. I hear different statements about this. The first one is carplay having compatibility issues with some devices but car play is already taking necessary steps for this by launching updates. However if you have an older device you are going to be left behind on updates. Second. And the one I think I have a problem with. I have a device that has Bluetooth 5.0 and my vehicle has an older Bluetooth version there for I have connectivity issues and latency playing the videos also.
