Can I use this to mini hifi amplifier that has only speaker output with 6-16 Ohm impedance? It can be dangerous to the amplifier to join speakers below 6 Ohm.

The speaker in/out of the subwoofer is not influenced by the speakers or amplifier it is connected to (it just passed the signal and taps off the bass)

I got one and I'm very happy with my basic Yamaha floor standers and 2 channel amp from Yamaha....planning to get another one for dual subs...it should be awesome I suppose ...any thoughts appreciated

Hi Jawad. The SW-200 is a superb sub for the money. But you shoudl consider a sub well up the food chain before contemplating Dual Subs

Morning Fernando. Subs are Mono. It has one amp / channel. So technically it is 130w per channel AND 130w total.

@@TLPCHC I figured out, i was talking about the output channel to speakers (above the Speaker Level Input). I read the manuals and it says it's a bridge, so the output to the Front Speakers is the one of your main amp. Thanks for the answer!

I just took delivery of this. I am pairing it with Elac Uni-fi UB5s driven by an SMSL DA-9 integrated amp. Is there any way to set the system such that the main speakers roll off at 80 hz, with the sub taking over below that? Or is this just adding low bass on top of what the Elacs natually do? Ith my Marantz AV Receiver on a different sub, the AV Receiver has that function.

If you use speakers level in from the amp and out to the speakers it will bleed off the bass into the sub.

You generally pair a sub with speakers, not the other way around. Or use an AVR's set up to overcome any miss match

Thanks. What actually wanted to know is can I use this for low end sound with speakers I already have edifier or would I need to get an av receiver to only send the sub woofer input to the sub. Can I connect my phone directly to the sub and take the speaker outs for the mid and high range

Hi Gavin. The subwoofer only has amplification for its own internal driver (the woofer). It can not power connected speakers. Connect your phone to an amp, and the amp to this subwoofer (and your speakers)

The amp that is part of the YHT pack has a triditional subwoofer output, so you can add the SW-300. The passive subwoofer will still sork, but I do not recommend you do so, as the system will sound better without it.

I Sreehari. You are confused about the feature set of the subwoofer. It does not have the ability to run speakers off it. The speaker termals are for an in/out from an amplifer to a set of speakers.
