The Journalist (allegedly) Ali Pour, referred to the protesters as 'Far-Right no less than 9 times - 1 every minute, in fact 3 times within the first 60 seconds. He also went on to claim that the man responsible - Times Radio quoted his name, - was an AFD supporter with, no doubt, the intension of blaming the AFD for the attack.

The media/ established government thinks if it calls them far right enough their view will no longer be seen as valid. The problem is their views are valid and calling them far right will not change that and it won't make them go away.

Germany knows all too well what far right looks like. No one should use the term casually. Failure to listen to people is what actually gives rise to the political extremists. People with an agenda have every reason to misdirect the media with claims of being atheists and using terms they know will confuse media pundits who only seem to know one set of talking points: far right, Islamophobia, anti-immigration, mental illness, etc. Good, thorough, and responsible journalism in the West is needed as much as ever.
