Sadly Finland had to cecede territory to the Soviets as well. The main importance is whether Ukraine can survive and join the EU and NATO. That would represent a signinificant strategic defeat for Russia, especially with Finland now in NATO too. Consider where Ukraine was at the start of this war. I don't want to appease or surrender territory either, which is why absolutely Ukraine MUST join NATO if this was negotiated.

russia is on it's knees. By the summer Ukraine will have the upper hand. This is just stalling by the west. We have ramped up production, trained more pilots and given more ammo/kit to Ukraine. Like I said 2025 is the year for Ukraine. Let's look at a deal at the end of 2025. I don't want to see anymore bloodshed on either side, but Ukraine will not back down when they are doing so well. They can turn the tide in the winter. The western tanks will play a big part this year. The air defence is better, the pilots are coming though the academies, and the money is still coming in. As a poker man, my cards are on Ukraine looking better at the end of 2025 with russia begging for a seat at the negotiation table.
