For anyone not as old as me and Marty, this is EXACTLY what 1999 sounded like. This and amazing hip hop.

Hip Hop? God No!!!
@hopsonkim49524 жыл бұрын
Dave Covert you don’t have to like it, but by ‘99 hip hop was easily as big as rock music, so yes, that’s absolutely what music was at that time. And if you like music but HATE hip hop, you’re listening to the wrong hip hop. Again, you don’t have to like it, but it’s to diverse of a genre to just think it’s all trash.
@the_original_Bilb_Ono4 жыл бұрын
@@hopsonkim4952 anyone who doesnt like an entire genre probably hasn't listened to much of that genre or is just super closed minded. There good stuff in every genre in my opinion. . My thing is that I really prefer some kind of instrumentation. And so I have major respect to hip hop groups that use a live drum kit or bass. There are some really killer bassists involved in hip hop who dont get the exposure they deserve because the star is typically the rapper. But that's nothing new.
@hopsonkim49524 жыл бұрын
Bilb Ono yeah I mean if you like music in general and you don’t think Essaywhuman?!!!??!? by the Roots is a great song, I don’t know what to tell you. That’s my go-to for people saying stuff like “hip hop isn’t music.” (Which to be clear he didn’t say, but that was the tone I got) I do have a ton of respect for rappers as well, but the complexity and style of hip hop lyrics is something much more reasonable to not dig.

... 03/18/2020: Hello, I love your video lessons. You mentioned you want viewers to reply with what viewers would like to see. OK, how about demonstrating the Fender 2x12 speakers Wholetone solid-state amp. I have some doubts about it: (1) Very pricey solid-state, (2) No effects loop, (3) No headphone jack (Note: The switch on the back is nothing more or less than a volume selector switch, so headphones are still desirable), (4), I understand it is trying to imitate the tube amp, but one of my questions for both the tube and solid-state Fender amps is why two channels to plug a guitar cable into? Why not just one guitar jack channel for totally clean (1-10 volume), and then dial in by hand or foot switch the reverb and tremolo? Also, Fender brags about its amps clean channel being great. But, in their tube amps the clean channel breaks up when the volume hits about "3" and I can understand that in a tube amp. But, in a solid-state amp, the clean channel should stay clean maxed out the volume (1-10). So, why not have in a solid-state amp a clean-channel that stays clean at maxed-out volume, and just has the Reverb and Tremolo and Distortion knob that can be dialed in. So, it would have one guitar cable jack for totally clean, and thee knobs for Reverb, Tremolo, and Distortion. I have the 2006 (14-years old technology is great) Peavey Bandit red-stipe solid-state amp that actually does all that, and it only cost me $200.00, and a Randall 100W solid-state head with 4-speaker cab that does all that for $500.00. Also, look at the 2020 Katana Series solid-state amps with the same good features. So, why is Fender charging about $1,000.00 for a solid-state amp that seems to not be as technologically good and cost-effective as other solid-state amps? Besides it does sound good, what do you think?
