Lita Ford came to Guitar Center in the area where I live. What impressed me the most was how unassuming she is and how friendly she is to chat with. Lita was also very willing to share guitar ideas as well as sign autographs. Top notch performer and a very nice person from my experience.

I love 'em all. I actually had no idea who this Orianthi chick was until recently. She's pretty incredible, too. I heard her and intantly thought Steve Vai - then I heard she was one of his students. Lita is more my style though, down and dirty 80's glam metal. Gotta admire the way she has managed to stay relevant, with the sexually charged "Lolita" rock of the late 70's with the Runaways, to the glam metal of the 80's, to the alt. rock of the 90's and today - she keeps rockin'.

I agree with you demigrl21. I'm a female, I play guitar, and I don't look macho nor am I a lez not that my sexual orientation really matters. Although after comments made by men about how women shouldn't play guitars, I might just turn into a lez LOL! However just because alot of female guitarists come off as lez or are lez doesnt mean they should be condemned for it. If you don't like a girl with a guitar then thats just too bad now isnt it boys?

BC Rich has been going down hill for some time now. The extreme shapes were cool when I was a kid and only played metal but being a seasoned player who plays different styles I now require more than just looks in an instrument. I haven't played Rich's for over ten years now but for the first 5 to 7 years of playing I used an old Warlock much like Ford's with the old style headstock. I also had a Warlock with a floyd and the the old pointy large headstock. I wish I still had em but when I started playing Ibanez I never looked back. I came to this vid for the guitar, I hate 80's hair metal but the Lita Ford Warlock is one of the best they make for production. I like normal strat like bodies but I have always had a soft spot for BC Rich, mainly Warlocks, Mockingbirds, and ironbirds. They were the guitars of my youth. They still make nice USA custom shop stuff but be prepared to pay 5,000+. For that price there are way better options out there. BC Rich just doesn't compete with the other large companies anymore. Each year they haul out another stock line of instruments at the NAMM show never innovating or even attempting to keep up with companies like Ibanez, Fender, Gibson, Jackson, Schecter, Charvel, all the big companies. The last innovation I can remember were the speed loader guitars and to my understanding that was a Floyd Rose innovation who must of hatched a licensing deal with BC. They unveil shit like the artcore series which were pieces of shit with tacky graphics. There production models have no variety whatsoever. The Mockingbird St's are nice and there are few nice Pro X models but the majority are all shitty. The only production Ironbird is a shitty beginner guitar leaving anyone who wants a nice Ironbird to have to go custom shop or find a nice one used somewhere. There are no nice gunslingers just one cheap model and there is one decent model of a super strat called a Villian. There is one Stealth model which is a Chuck Schuldiner signature leaving the only variety among Warlocks, Mockingbirds, and Bich's and its a small variety at that. There are so little options if your looking to buy a BC Rich and if you want a higher end model the variety gets even smaller. They are easily the laziest company among the large brands and cater mostly to beginners who have no clue of what quality is yet. I would love to work for BC Rich and give the company a complete makeover. There should be at least three price points for each model and should have a selection of finishes. Every other large brand are constantly offering new models with several options, BC Rich needs to get back in the game. For example they should make a line of Gunslingers ranging three price points. The high end model should have a choice between hardtail or Floyd Rose original or 1000 series, lets give it an HH pickup configuration with either EMG's or Seymour Duncan pickups ( I'm a Dimarzio guy but these guitars cater to metal players), 5 way selector for multiple tones, lets go with a maple neck, either an ebony or maple board, it could be a set neck, through neck , or even a 5 piece bolt on, give it 3 finish options and quality hardware, and lets go with a slim neck profile to compete with other fast playing instruments. Many of these options could change to other quality options but you see my point. Each model with a low end, mid, and high end version. That would make some waves at NAMM.

+Kris Ross B.C RICH geetars are some of the best made guitars ever.they are not just to play metal.they were around before the heavy metal scene.if you cant find an older one(which can get pricey)(and your better off),then goand buy a high end les paul.
@roosterj25996 жыл бұрын
I'm with you on BC Rich failing us. The last bc riches that we're a damn we're the high end Joey Jordison sig and the black veil brides six models. Also, their retro warlock and mockingbird models w a Kahler or hardtail we're awesome. I wish they would come out with new guitars of good quality that are affordable. Warlocks, bithes and mockingbirds that are neck thru and basic red, white and black finishes and a Floyd or a Kahler. Add to that a line of single humbucker gunslingers of better quality.

@mindsikmuzik I'd for sure include her in the "holy trinity" of female rock guitarists, although in my personal opinion Jennifer Batten and Orianthi are technically better players, and rock just as hard. I hear she is getting divorced from Jim Gillette, which is good. I don't know the man personally, only by reputation, but I always had the impression that he was sort of a tool. He just looked like an asshole. If Lita is to be believed - and there are two sides to every story - he and her kids beat her. I had this feeling that she left the biz more because he demanded it, rather than of her own free will. I look forward to seeing her out on the road again. Rock on!
