LITCHFIELD NATIONAL PARK - The Way Overland - Episode 10

This week we go aboard a jumping croc cruise and check out these huge reptiles in a completely different way.
Then, what was supposed to be a quick trip into Darwin to stock up and get some paperwork sorted for shipping, we end up staying for a few days due to some electrical problems with our battery charger not providing the auxiliary battery solar. We send the charger back to Perth to get fixed and we head down to Litchfield National Park going back to the basics.
Litchfield National Park.. wow!! Seriously some of the most beautiful waterfalls we’ve been to yet. This place is definitely one to put on the list and is so easy to get to from Darwin.

Absolutely jealous of you guys. My partner and I visited Litchfield a few weeks after you did, intending to camp at either Florence Falls 4WD campsite or Sandy Creek Falls, only to find both roads were closed because of the Wet Season 😢

Love the vid, do you know if it is essential to get a 4WD to go around litchfield, kakadu and katherine? My boyfriend and i were hoping to drive a simple campervan during june/july but after seeing the terrain i’m not too sure!!

We went to Litchfield in normal 2WD car and to Kakadu in 2WD CAMPERVAN. You can do it but you just have to keep to the asphalt roads. Only the road to Lost City is a dirt road for our 2WD did it. We were there in dry season (August).

Not charging while you drive?

Not charging through solar or the alternator. Thankfully it was an electrical fault in the unit and was an easy fix. Jolie had to come to terms with eating canned tuna at some point on the trip so not all bad!

The Way Overland could you charge while driving from the main accessories sockets or are they also from the aux battery?
