Here's the main things you need to know about the original story. Sun Wukong (the monkey king) was a big trouble maker and had the strength to back it up. So (skipping a head) bodhisattva Guanyin gave him a headband that once put on can never come off, and anytime Wukong steps out of line they can speak a phrase that squeezes the headband causing Wukong UNBELIEVABLE pain. He was a shape-shifter and could become anything. He also has the Ruyi Jingu Bang (his staff) that can extend to any length with just a thought and is SUPER HEAVY (I forget how heavy but a couple thousand pounds at least) there's tons more. But as for Sun Wukong that's the main things about him
