Roller towels have been around for donkey’s years…at least from the 60s and maybe even beyond that. Many places have replaced them with paper towel dispensers as some people regarded them as more hygienic and easier, despite the added paper waste.

They apparently weren't that easy to wash and re-roll either. I recall as a kid thinking it was just one small loop that somehow got cleaned as it went back into the machine and out again. And if I saw these today I would likely think the place hadn't been updated in 40 years.

I was in Vienna once. There’s a train/metro station where they had to reroute the building when they discovered a fully buried, but in remarkably good shape, ancient church. So now you can look out the window at the train station (underground) and see the beautiful excavated building, and then get on your train. 😂

Austraian things - 11:49 was a small limited trial only, we don't have these, 12:54 is for the benefit of parents to stop their kids wanting chocolate, not the adults (also we call them lollies, not candies!)

9:46 - How ironic. Must be why they don’t work anywhere else.

How often do buses roll over in Denmark that they felt they needed a button? Women's only train cars are not super cool. They are a sad reflection on society.
